So yesterday, there was a quasi front page gossip news about how the "hot mugshot guy" and his wife is getting a divorce. (Google if you don't know the story) Naturally, I was talking to my friend smoky "master heat" the bear (the guy that wrote the heat guide on steam) about it... mainly about how random and unimportant this news item was. Since, I didn't even know those people were supposed to be celebrities.

And it hit me.
[Redacted], it's the PGI has 2 problems in their marketing campaign.
1: They don't have a spokesperson to associate the franchise with.
2: They are just not having fun with it.
Allow me to elaborate. If you want your customer base to expand, it's far easier to associate something that's counter main stream to draw a portion of niche population. This is why companies get spokesperson. It's a tie-in to relate a product to the real world.
Now, it's far more obvious to envision A-Rod using a razor or Federer with his Swiss watch cause... well, a lot of us use those items everyday. But for a gaming company, for every iteration of CoD for example, there is one central celebrity that you can associate with. Black Ops, it was Kobe. The one after that, it was Dwight Howard.
[Redacted], but... let's say... it's some Youtube star...
They are cheap, they have great followings, they promote like no others, and it gets the people talking.

And while all of this is happening, PGI just... gotta have fun with it. Cause, there's no point just hiring someone and not give him the support he/she needs. And that's my phase 2 plan. Say PGI cosplay Comstar. So these boring patches become... transmission from Comstar.
"Dear Warriors, with a recent discovery of crack on Dimotian mirrors, we have updated your combat computers to increase the long range combat laser duration by 0.2 second"
vs
"Due to some divine intervention, data gathered at a faulty event with super flawed data collection too long ago, we are nerfing the ERLL by increasing the burn time"
It's the same core message, but I will have more fun with 1 than 2. Just saying. And let's imagine, the quasi celebrity PewTheoryHeart is the person making a short video announcement with the changes...
BAM.
Fun.
Until I'm gone, you have no idea how much you missed me, right?
Catch you on the battlefield!
Unimpressed?
Maybe try harder to get on my level.
Or...
Die!!!!
