I thought we were moving to the civil war era with all the hype about civil war tech but it seems we are still struck in the clan invasion era. Two years before Operation Bulldog it seems.

So is this a change in decision or will we be moving in stages? Giving us a Operation Bulldog event before the move. Since some mechs have yet had their new graphical changes ( For the new weapons) is this to give the developers more time to implement the changes?

The Civil War Era is some time after Prince Victor Steiner returned from Operation Bulldog, the Clan Trials and after joining Comstar if I recall correctly.

I think they want CW to focus primarily on IS vs Clan

It seems to me that the players actually have to trigger operation bulldog by surrounding a clan homeworld.. Right now, the FP map or the way it is played has nothing to do with a war between Steiner and Davion..

I really hoped it would.. I hoped for mixed dropdecks.. I hoped for a tukayyid like event for Operation bulldog.. but this feels.. well.. like something completely other than that..

Let's see what happens though..
