Heavy large laser = Violet
Heavy medium = Brighter Orange / Yellow
Heavy small = Very bright red.

Or at least make the heavy large violet or purple Posted Image cmon guys it's easy pz and I know alot of us would find it nice.

Plus since this game is based on information and observation before engagement, knowing what weapons are being fired is a great indicator to either fight or flight.

No, because thats illogical, heavy is amodification not a class. so heavy larges would have to be blue, and heavy meds yellow, and heavy smalls can stay in a reddish version.

Well I know myself and others wanted different color lasers to differentiate between the different lasers being fired. And speaking of illogical ramming a 20 ton mech into a 100ton mech should result in falling over. But that hardly comes up.

Since the heavy versions do more damage and are shorter ranged, it fits common knowledge that their color are those of higher frequencies which means:
  • Large: blue -> dark-ish purple (the often requested)
  • Meds: yellow -> yellow-green
  • Smalls: red -> orange

IF PGI followed the wavelenght spectrum better.
As it stands IS uses wavelenght colors on lasers Clans should have since (shorter wavelenghts) and vice versa. Since Clans tech is supposed to be better, they should have the color one tier above in wavelenght than IS by my logic at least.

I actually agree on your proposal OP. Pure purple for HLL, orange for HML and red/ yellow for the HSL.
