One thing i noticed about these things is you can curve them by aiming in flight. This is both good and bad. Great if the mech moves it helps you zero in.. Bad if you are at closer range and need to twist.
So why not add to the fire mechanic? Hold down your button to use the aim feature, and release to let um fly.. (no you can't relock and move them if you release)
No clue if this can be done, or how hard it would be to do, But it sounds reasonable yes?

I want to see fly by wire. People who got good at them could do some cool stuff.

I haven't noticed these MRMs curving at all in flight. I tested it out in the testing grounds with an MRM40 on a Boar's Head. Tried firing then aiming at another area, but they seem entirely dumbfire.

That wouldn't make sense since MRMs aren't supposed to have any form of guidance systems. They are purely dumbfire.
lots of things in MWO already dont make sense. For example, SRMs are supposed to be guided but are dumbfire.
so im fine with MRMs flying by wire if it helps them hit things at medium range. because they need to be better at medium range and worse at short range so they dont make SRMs obsolete (I would give mrms a linear damage dropoff under 120m, because its not in the spirit of the weapon to be able to pointblank gank someone)
but fly by wire does need to be an optional feature of MRMs so you can still torso twist when you need to

cool, as long as no one complains about them phasing through solid virtual matter. i actually think MRMs are in a good spot that needs a structural change in the skills and habits of pilots.
