Mmm, would it be not too dangerous putting an XL on a still slowish medium ranged KGC build?

Works fine for me, I usually run XLs in solo queue where I feel it's easy to spread damage and being able to move with unpredictable pugs is more important than surviving a ST loss.

You can build it with a LFE320

tried this, too hot for my liking and lacks backup weaponry, but maybe someone will enjoy it more.

BTW if you want to be able to hop, the HGN-733C can do it too (plus the ability to aim the AC/20 with greater flexibility): HGN-733C

Experimenting with targeting computer

Fairly good results last night given the quirks on the 8Q.

Had some really nice rounds with that little bugger: CN9-AL - 2 HPPC 2 ML

Slow and brittle but having a medium packing the equivalent of a dual gauss is pretty nasty.

If you can stomach an LFE, and light ferro, you can run the same build and cram a TCMKII in the CT:

You lose the assymetry though.

Better short range firepower for sure but you lose those TC benefits from downgrading. I think the 8Q might be one of the few mechs that actually benefit from bringing the large TC because of the quirks.

WHM-6R

Got to run it like I would in TT, makes for a hell of mean beast... if hot.

True that, heat management would be a bit easier.

I've been running two HPPCs, an MRM40, and a RAC5 on my AS7-D with an LFE 300. Did almost 800 damage my first game with two KMDD.

Now simplify by going 2x MRM30 + UAC/20. :x

and kill the range.

100 tonners arent agile anymore, you should at least try to soften enemy before going into brawl.

I'm considering the triumphant return of PPCs (or in this case Heavy PPCs) to the Black Widow. 2HPPC, 4HMG and the biggest LFE I can fit. Doable?
