With the advance in timeline, I was curious to know if we were going to see the Atlas II at any point in the future. (I also saw an Atlas III, but there wasn't much on that).

I don't know much about battletech and have been going through the wiki to get a bit more knowledgeable.

So no specialized LRMs either? I wanted to see incendiary or the emp fitted ones. Maybe even the Arrow or the Long Tom artillery if they ever released the Behemoths.

Well all the Atlas II were taken by the Clans. Maybe a variant that's based on it? Assuming there is a unique enough variant

Might be fun to give the Clans Atlas II. See how it performs with Clan tech.

Atlas 3 is Dark Age tech, highly doubt this game will ever live that long. Especially with the weapon options given them.. HAG's would be a hard thing to integrate, no less things like HVAC's, improved streaks, Improved pulse lasers, single and dual capacitor ppc's.. the list goes on. basically that's gonna be a no for the Atlas 3 (although the Jupiter would be nice)

You only have to make it to 3068 to get a Jupiter though

Just make variants off of Kerensky's custom Atlas II, maybe copy some original atlas design. AS7-D-H Kerensky The custom version used by Nicholas Kerensky, this version of the Atlas II retains the weapon array of the original but swaps the Inner Sphere components for more advanced Clan equivalents. It also adds a second SRM launcher. All the missile systems are equipped with Artemis IV fire control systems. Double heat sinks were replaced with their less bulky Clan equivalents and increased to nineteen. The ferro-fibrous armor protection remains the same, but again was replaced by more compact Clan version. To handle electronic warfare duties, a small ECM Suite and Active Probe were added to the center torso. The CASE systems were integrated into the side torsos, as was common to all Clan designs.

Maybe the H2 too.
AS7-D-H2 This variant exchanges both ER Large Lasers and its LB 10-X for a Kinslaughter ER PPC and a Gauss Riflewhile removing only one double heat sink.

Pgi did their version of Long Tom ary and it sucked as much as you can imagine. It was an automated timer weapon that targeted the largest group of enemy mechs and was a one-hit-kill. If they had put it into solo play I'd have expected a lot of players would have indeed rage quit the game.

And here it is being gangk-ed:

I read up that the Atlas 2 production was started in 3070 after the responsible factories were recovered, but yes. It would be the Clan Atlas.

There are more than a few Star League era mech/Variants that we honestly should have at this point. Stuff like the Atlas II, The King Crab 010, the Lancelot, and others.

I doubt it since it has only one other stock variant besides the base model. Considering that the other variants are hero mechs I also don't believe that we will be seeing any mix tech anytime soon. PGI really went out of their way to made sure that each faction of the civil war tech was unique to each side (meaning weapon systems exclusive to only IS/Clan), so I'm not really sure how the balancing overlords would take to a mech with mix tech.
