No DOA mech should be having consistent 1k damage matches in solo and group queue.

Only due to being propped up by insane amount of armor quirks and far more than the usual engine rating boost by PGI. Which means the base Anni chassis was as mediocre as base Urbie, before the buff.

Yeah, I'm just wondering if they are going to get quirk nerfed. I could see their armor buffs getting taken down a notch because they are huge. That being said, I don't think its needed, but people are going to start complaining.

Ah anni... I really wants to leg one... no particular reason (though if I found one running a stock engine it would greatly amuse me), but in my limited play post patch I don't recall seeing an enemy one

That is actually a good point.
I had something similar with chest-mounted ERLLs in the EXE.
It's nice if you can have two mechs in one spot shooting together.
(Oh and the smaller one soaking up damage for you, of course )
