Some of the IS heroes i didn't care for before are much more viable with new tech.

I'm digging the Arrow with lfe, 6 HMG and 2 ERLL

Also like the Firebrand with dual rac5 and 4-6 ERSL

My fave atm is the ember with 4 flamers and 4 HMG... i think has lfe but not at computet atm.

Any clan omni-mech. Pahket, Purifier, Breaker etc. They have more capabilities and possible designs than other mechs.

It's amazing to me that even with an event funneling a larger volume of players to CW, players are still getting constant **** matchups.

Last night I had a pug drop (which clearly had several low tier players) where we didn't just face a large and well coordinated group drop, we faced one of the best units in the game.

How can a 8+ man drop from a comp unit get matched up with a ragtag band of low tier pugs? MAKE THEM WAIT FOR A FAIR MATCHUP. If there aren't enough players anymore for on the fly matchups that are fair, then set it up so comp units can pick a time range when they want a matchup, and the game will find another matchup with a fair competitor based on the time preferences of both. Quit ruining the game for the rest of us.

In that matchup, only 3 players on my team got over 150 game score. I personally had the best score by far (5 kills, just under 1200dmg. I got lucky to have my 3rd mech drop while they were spawn ****** us and just happened to be all used up, so I got several easy kills with my fresh mech), but even that was only enough to net a 189 score. Many players were pissed to be in such a matchup(again) and didn't even try.

Seriously PGI, this is a major issue for players, especially us players who aren't tryhards. The bad matchups kill the fun, which is supposed to be the point here.


ps... The logical question here is, but if comp units or big group drops have to wait for a fair matchup against a like competitor, then that ruins their fun too... No, they would still be free to pug it and get a matchup on the fly like the rest of us. It would just be that if they want to group up with a bunch of other elite players, they won't be able to terrorize casual teams anymore when they do.

There is no MM in FP, never has been to my knowledge. Every player enters at their own risk and is best served by forming a 12 man of likeminded players.

Everyone is warned before dropping in FP, yet so few pay attention. You can point at various failings but at this point, right now, thete is simply not enough players to even merit matchmaking. Everyone would be sitting in queues forever.

Now if the gave you a "sorry you and 11 strangers are about to get wrecked by a 12-man" bonus... based on metrics to qualify of course, that would at least be something...

Well in the load screen it says defend Omega Hardly cryptic. If a team chose too rush off and leave Omega undefended the mechwarrior who takes advantage of their arrant stupidity should be rewarded.
You get XP only, for turret and base structure kills, there should be match score rewards too.

Yet this approach in their business model generally precludes more players from even wanting to try and play. People usually don't spend money doing things in their limited free time that they don't enjoy doing, and if they do, they don't do it for long.

If PGI can't have a group/unit function in the game that results in equitable and enjoyable play, then that feature should be eliminated.

I am not saying this to be snarky or elitist. I am stating that the player must be prepared to face imbalance if they lack the initiative to get organized.

I drop solo in FP quite often, but I don't expect it to be a win when I drop solo because it was designed to be very team oriented. I suppose if someone drops solo in FP expecting to have a shot at winning would feel the way you do. I meant the boost your war chest part, it doesn't list the milestones and just says additional faction content is unlocked at specific milestones but doesn't say what milestones. Or am I mistaken and the only stuff we unlock is from the pick a prize, it seem like a gross waste of effort if I only get one of each type of item unlocked. I've played for probaby about 24 or more hours so far in this event and the pay off doesn't feel worth it if that is the case and I'll probably just go back to QP after I get my pattern.

I am pretty sure it is just a poorly formatted web page and refers to the faction content you earn based on milestones just above that statement.

Last night when I played, IS had the bar at about 75% in their favour. Admittedly that is the first time I've ever seen it like that. But now I'd demand to see all IS assaults and heavies get the mobility nerfs that clans did.

The Timber is a heavy and even when mobility is maxed out is useless, it takes ages to stop/start. It's far slower than any IS assault mech. So everything including the 75 tonnes and higher for clans cannot pad. This needs to be changed across the board to bring more worth to lights/meds in general.

I was going to request that clan heavies/assaults get their mobility back but... thats not right ! (even though I'd like that). Nimble heavies made medium mechs a useless pick.

To balance the game, Lore unfortunately has to step aside and I can accept that. Now the rules just need to be more blended for both sides (I'll say not completely equal but they can be bought closer though).

This event is completly useless for me. Dont have a good unit to fight and after stomped a few times with randoms in fw i give it up and play potato on qp.
