I don't understand how match score works in FW. With 5 or more kills, 700 or more damage, a couple of good UAV's, a bunch of 'protected (insert weight class here)' rewards, etc., etc, I would have a match score of over 500 in QP, but in FW it's only around 180.

In faction play your match score is divided between the number of mechs you dropped in. So if you used all 4 it is divided by 4. If you only use 1 it isn't divided at all.

Yep, close to two per side. Most eventually reconnect but they take their time.

This happened to me a couple times. The first time I couldn't figure out how to reconnect. You have to click QuickPlay to get the reconnect to match. Not very intuitive when you are playing Faction Play Posted Image

Wow I'm so far pretty amazed how difficult it's to win with Clan and solo dropping.

With IS I won about half of the games, I played about 90 games on IS side during this event, and I dropped the loyalty after getting the second mechbay from FRR.

Now with Clan mechs I got 5 defeats on a row. Even when you initially have a good push on like siege attack, the end result is defeat.

Barely finished this Event, barely got 1 Hero Mech that I wanted... Going to have to restock (MC) from Events before I can get another.

Now, that said....... If PGI doesn't want people having negative emotions, they might want to rescale that last item down from 12800 to only 9600 (or 10000) Match Score. That was a little much for a Faction Camo, particularly when they're taking far too much Match Score away for losing Mechs. I actually saw people gaming the system by letting the rest of their team (including myself) take the hits, so PGI needs to readjust the Match Score loss for deaths downward by a hell of a lot in order to not have people doing that rude stupidity quite so much. I could understand losing 10%-15% of your Match Score for a death, as that would not be very noticeable. But losing half your Match Score each time you die?!?!? That's worse than wrong, and it's causing exploitation of mechanics, at the expense of everyone else on a team!!! That's not fair to lose so much when you do well, even if you're getting walked all over!!!

I agree that the match score requirement was a bit steep, but it was a long event at least.

I would like to see some of the stats like we got at the end of the last Tukayyid event.

While the faction camo's are hit/miss, if you don't like their default colors you can at least change them on the same patterns. The Jade falcon one for example has a built in shiny factor... but if you don't like the green change it to blue.

As to the match totals needed, I reached 12,800 on both accounts in less than 40 matches per account. I actually played more matches I needed per account, just to get some extra c-bills. Went to 49 total on this one and 47 on my alt.

Actually, that 'Jade Falcon Sheen' is NOT possible to be fully defeated. It overlays itself in an ugly manner on pretty much any color. I actually prefer the 'Ghost Bear Ice' over any of the others, because all the others try to force themselves on top of your chosen colors. Don't believe me? Try looking at that 'Jade Junk' (no offense intended to Jade Falcon Loyalists, but I really don't like that camo for technical reasons) on a Hellbringer, Ebon Jaguar, and/or Executioner! -_-

I actually like the look given by the Jade pattern overlaying Ghost Bear Slate on a MCII... Basically neutralises the color change, and only leaves the green reflection.

To each their own amirite?

True that, but thanks for the info. I'll look into that when I next have a chance.

By the way... '+Like' for the discussion value. :)
