New tech has definitely made rolling over a team a lot easier. If you get unlucky and have the enemy start hitting your weaker flank, you usually won't be able to reposition enough mechs to bolster them in time before they're already dead and you're being shot from behind. Stuff like this is why I keep yammering for a return to the late succession war era. Yeah, the Clan fans can't run around with their favorite mechs, but the game is more fun and better balanced with no Lostech, Clantech, or Civil War tech. The more tech they add, the more the problems that the TT game ran into will apply to MWO.

No. I meant from first contact to end of game, including smoke. For example, last night I was in a game where we won in 2:21 seconds of actual combat. The enemy team had equal numbers of assault mechs as us, was largely comprised of heavies, and the shear, raw firepower of our mechs were obliterating targets before they had a chance to properly retaliate. One poor assault mech got in the open for all of 5 seconds and was torn to pieces in that time.
(Shame. He almost got under my ATM minimum range....)
In Scouting, too. This has been an ongoing problem, but I've had more than a few scouting matches have all of 30 seconds of combat. 30 seconds. 4v4, and the match was over and done with in 30 seconds. That is insane.

Honestly, coming from the board game and a person who would like a bit more of a tactical component I do not think that MWO should move towards a Mech FPS. If PGI should do something, it is to turn the power creep down a notch.
