Will chosen faction and careers still reset at the end of every season for faction warfare? I seem to have gotten lost in patch notes...

Nope, they havent so far, so do not depend on it.

Was that just when they introduced the career selection patch then? My memory is so faded...

Yes, the only reset I can remember was for the new career paths.
