There have been some amazing people helping out in Faction Warefare. I have seen first hand that some people there are happy to help new guys (like me) and some just tell us to **** off back to quick play. With the help of a few good leaders I managed my first 2000 damage game last night. So thank you to those guys that are happy to help us new guys out.

Farqwad - I'd call you Lord, but I doubt you're a Lord of any kind... So Farqwad it is.

Anyway well done. As a new player to achieve 2k damage matches is no easy task, but it is doable relatively quickly... If... You...

1. Play as a team and be a team member. Share armour, focus targets, move with your team.

2. Bring half decent builds, even if you don't have many mechs, being something thaat will WORK to the map. AC20s to Polar Highlands for example, is a dumb choice yet people do it day in, day out.

Yes you might not win all the time but you go down fighting rather than the perpetual sooks who eject, hide in drop zones or simply don't want to play as a team in a team mode (and then start a forum thread crying about being beaten by people who want to play as a team?)

To hit 2k means you are in the top 95% of MWO pilots right now. There are many, many players who struggle to hit 600-1000 dmg, let alone double/triple it.

Keep up the good work and you'll do 2.5-3k in no time, I do most games now as its second nature to me as a team player that learnt and took advice from those around him.

If you need any help on anything, PM me. Happy to help those thst want to be helped, improve etc etc.

As much as some guys like to be a bag of decks (spoken like a true kiwi) the majority of the community are willing to help out new players.

This has been lots of fun, but I keep running into one guy who keeps losing and then typing "fight me 1v1 anytime scrubs". Funny thing is one of the guys helping me learn went and beat him 1 v 1 and then he quit the match.

Just ignore, plebs always thinks too highly of themselves, balaming everything and everyone but themselves for the loss. The holy trinity of multiplayer gaming: lag, crappy team, stupid map.

Well, after playing now for 3 weeks and putting in some work to learn different roles and some basics of the whole Faction warfare game play, I must say this is real fun.

Another big thank you to guys that have spent time teaching me and training me. I've learnt so much and I'm sure the is a lot more to learn.

I've now got 9 mechs and can play in 2 styles. Thank PGI for the mech bay sale. It's timing is amazing.
Just got to get some brawlers now so I can "PUSH" with some of the more aggressive players out there.

I still find those toxic people from time to time, but they usually shut up when you ignore their immature trolling.

Thanks to so many for such a wonderful community.

Glad you have taken the steps to improve your experience in CW, found and listened to advice, and found out what CW is, can, and should be for all.

keep in mind a lot of those people that are "aggressive" and critical of what you're doing have probably dropped a crapload of times and are just sick of training people on where there left and right feet are. Not condoning it but I've seen some people play like they only have one hand... And that can get frustrating after seeing it over and over..
Keep an eye on Patrica and Mr. Ketchum, they take joy in taking out your legs before you hit the ground from your dropships.;)

I only take joy in it when I feel like I avenging the pain you just put your team through by being the last one alive with 2+ mechs. Other than that, it just kind of happens. :)
