So I've managed to find a potent shadowcat build that I'd like to share.

2xATM9 with 3 and a half tons of ammo
1xHML + 1DHS
1xECM
1xcLBAP (light probe)

Armor:
5 head
39 each leg
26 left arm
7 back armor
full everywhere else

I've had some remarkable success with this build. I find i'm able to pump out consistently between 700-800 damage per game with it. It's a little ammo starved, but despite this you can still pump out sufficient enough damage to more than contribute to your team. Alternatively, you could swap out an ATM9 for an ATM6 for additional ammo and another DHS.

The heavy medium is there as a back up weapon system for when you eventually run out of ammo. You could swap out the light probe for an additional half ton of ammo for a total of 4 tons of ammo, but I feel the extra targeting speed is essential for a medium range missile setup. You gotta acquire that lock on top fast because you're in close proximity as well as needing face time to acquire a lock. So IMO the light probe or standard probe is a must on any ATM setup.

Another point I'd like to make about this build is that it runs a tad hot, so you'll need to invest in heat management skills, equipping a coolant charge and putting that heat down is typically enough to keep those missiles flying.

Try it out and let me know what you think about it. Also

I run 3 ATM 6 and a Probe, full armour and the rest to ATM ammo. ATM 6 have better spread and I do run out of ammo but i normally pull 700 to 1k damage when that happens so whatevs.

Light BAP is not really needed. I recommend a light TAG in the left arm or dropping it for 3x ATM6.

I went with 3x ERML + 2x ATM6. I didn't want to get fully screwed over.

Active probe speeds targeting data, not missile.locks. as you have ecm (so you can go counter and get locks when in an ecm bubble) the AP is basically useless. Targeting data has little value when your primary weapons are guided - it's not so useful to know something is damaged when you can't target it.
