thats all well and good but then that logic would make any mek your unit commander sat in would be a command mek.
so bring on the locust and raven command meks!!!

a command mek should be one that is designed for CnC on the battlefield.

like the cyclops, or the battlemaster(especially the dual cockpit designs)

Id say Mad Cat. That is one of the best Mechs fielded IMO, and a beast on the battlefield as well. Pretty sure its going to be in the game, but will be pretty upset if it isnt.

Don't hold your breath there...Inner Sphere mechs at launch and for a good few months after...clan mechs aren't expected till the following year.

but you can bet your bottom that when the clans do arrive, Madcat will be foremost amoungst them.

Yeah, Im still trying to come up to speed on all that. All I know from the story is what Ive played in the games, so playing catch up now. I would of said the Mad Cat MK II (my all time favorite), but Ive gathered that was introduced at a much later date. Still, look forward to seeing what they are going to throw at us.

K I'm a little late for the start of this party,but what time frame are the mechs they are starting with coming out. I know the clans are out for the moment ,are the mechs IS from the 3050 tro or old school 3025?

Didn't the eventual electronics package for the Raven get mentioned in one of the IS updates? The Devastator and Mauler have also been explicitly mentioned in said tweets. I'm not saying the news feeds are a source of confirmation but it's at least one hell of a tease.

For some reason I've had the Commando on my mind for the next 'Mech release. I have no logic behind this; it's simply what my gut says.

must be cuase the top one looks like an uziel which was renamed for MA.

The top one is an Uziel and that is exactly the mech we need for this game, its fast for a medium, has jets and con be configured for almost anything.

the uziel wasnt available until the late '60s

this game is starting in 3050.
so you got 15 years or so of game time before it shows up.

also remember for most of the game real time to game time will be a 1:1 ratio.

Uziel was in MA but had a variant called belial.
