Hey guys,

I brawl a lot. Most time im sitting in a light(LCT-PB/ACH) or in a medium(NVA). Or sometimes in my TBR.
In TBR I usualy use 4-6spl+4xsrma6 for the main punch. But last weekend I tried this:
TBR-D
It is not as effective as the spl+srma version but it runs cool and is realy fun to play.

I will get Mad Cat MKII next month but im not sure, if I want those giant ears on it thanks to my SRM/ATM? setup...

So the other evolutionary way of this playstyle would be the SCORCH (maybe with srma4 and more ammo or larger engine). But if have no idea how hard the mobility nerf was. Anyone tried it after the last patch? Im not realy interested in objective numeric values. Its all about the subjective feeling. Posted Image

I don't have scorch but i think scorch maybe slower then before though. Also you have ferro but no endo you should switch those endo give more free tonnage over ferro for same crit slots. I am more scared of brawler scorch then brawler atlas.

I just tested it, the agility nerf is barely noticeable since it still meets the agility needs.

Thanks for yor answers.
@Palfatreos:
It was not an optimized build, only an example, so Im sure there are many more mistakes :D. But thanks for the hint, I'll fix it.
@Brizna:
Do you skill into agility? If yes, right side or left side, or both?

Just yesterday I bought CP-10-Q, now it has 40/91 Points, all the basics in weapon and survival trees with 6xsrma6 and a huge XL running 70kph... realy fun to see those DWFs backpaddle behind next cover after an alpha or two... if scorch is nearly as scary as CP-10-Q... IT's MINE!

It still works as long as you can get yourself into brawling range and dont get focused much. The side torsos still drop super fast on close range fights tho.

Its bit more sluggish on its movements than before the skill tree, but in exchange it runs cooler as long as you take all heat gen nodes and go for 8% coolrun from the operations tree. Also make sure to have double coolshots and the skills to make them more powerfull.

I have the ECM Marauder IIC with 2-gauss 2-ERL. All Marauder IIC received same mobility nerf.

Of course the ECM sniper doesn't, and can't, fully use the torso twitch, but the nerf was barely noticeable. The hitboxes are still amazing and you can tank a lot of extra damage by spreading it around. For the ECM sniper this happens about midway when the enemies keep coming and you have to fight close range.

If you meant the mobility nerf that happened during engine decoupling, then that was a lot bigger I believe.

If I would buy Scorch, it would be to be able to take 2xPPC 2xgauss in arm mounts alongside with some 4xSRM, not to carry a pair of LXB20 with 4xSRM.

Yea well. Thanks for your answers. I was a bit unsure if it is a good idea to spend mcs for it. But now: I'll buy this mech as soon as its on sale for mcs. Can not await!

Post-patch the Scorch is still scorching. After setting Skills and getting the feel, it still is a formidable mech.
Liked the PPC + Gauss build but it didn't like me. So, stuck with the (probably not optimal) 2 X LB20-X;
2 X ASRM6 + 2 X ASRM4 (more ammo & a bit cooler etc.) build.
Situational awareness and patience is crucial and never play solo kamikaze (unless you're tracking a wounded mech that you know is alone).
This is from a match played about 15 minutes ago:
(of course, not a typical score but it is by far, in my limited experience, my most powerful assault atm)

Scorch

Xl340, 2 lbx10 or 2 ac10, 4 srm4s, 2 small laser, ams , 5 or so extra heat sinks, at least 3 tons ac ammo, 4 tons missile ammo, its a great brawler, runs cool, and all its weapons cool down in less than 3 seconds.

XL340, 2LBX20, 4SRM6. Brawl at sub-300m. Wreck face.

May be worth it to try ATMs, maybe not. Time will tell.
