It's a legitimate strategy. You don't like it? Bring AMS.
Better yet, bring ECM and rat the ******* out.
Don't ***** without looking at available resources. LRMs may be a lazy way to play, but they're usually easy kills if you can get to them.

What I realy realy like to know....much more than what and if is something changed with this weapon system....when do ppl that have problems with certain tactics and weaponsystems start to read and research the forums for solutions that define their specific problem and atleast just coppy the given solutions to their playstyle.
5 out of 6 matches I see more than one LRM heavy mech or even LRM boat those mechs die early due to lights, getting focused down by ppfld direct fire weapons cause they got no locks and tried to get them themselfs or simply get eaten by hanging back while nascaring.
Lights are too fast (or at least should be) to be hit by LRMs, larger mechs either carry AMS and/or 60% radardep and just sidestep the incomming lrm stream.
(You know look up into the stream, step into coever and wait till its fight path bends towards you...then you just step aside.)
At the momentary state of LRMs you need more than LRM 30 to even get through AMS. That means if more than one enemy has one or even two ams mounted you need one ore more LRM 60+ to do any significant damage and you still do less than half the missile loads damge due to the fact that large portions of your flight simply miss the target by default.
So what exactly do you want to nerf with this "weapon" system.
ATM its more like "fire a smal lrm launcher to see where the enemy is hidden."

Hmmm. Try to do 1000 dmg in an LRM boat without aiming and then post video here. Before that the common stance of the community at present is that of LRMs are next to useless.

They are only dangerous if they are well positioned. If they are too far back you rarely can get any hits. If you are too close you get rekt. If you are just behind the team at the front lines your sharing the armor and your missiles are most likely to hit or be more effective. If your team brings enough UAVs, that helps too.
Wait, why am I explaining things to a anon?

There was an LRM nerf in this patch. It's called LAMS.

LRMs ATMs seem to be screwing over clans in siege mode. That's all I'm seeing and as soon as they have to push or get pushed there are not enough direct fire weapons to finish anyone off. On top of that all that LRM spam is just making everyone dedicate 1.5 tons to some kind of AMS on pug drops and that effectively shuts down that strategy.
