In the light of the recent events. I feel it's prudent for me to actually speak out, and say the obvious.

Urbanmechs are OP.

100 tonners, run at 150 KPH, can turn 720 degrees around. Can one-hit an atlas chewing through it's arm, side-torso, and then the CT all in one blow, while the atlas could only tickle it back. Can boat 2x Gauss + 2x ERPPC, 50 total DHS, and can take 12 jump-jets that would let it poptart over HPG wall without even staying on top, all in one jump.

This mech plays the meta so well, it's so armored, could boat a lot of stuffs. Something has to be done guys. The Urbanmech is so OP, it's auto win.

They are tough little trash cans, thats for sure. Gotta admit I have been thinking TWICE before engaging one on one if I didnt have the speed OR armament to take one out. And dont get me started if you encounter one along with his assault/ heavy buddies or several ones of those bucket heads.... JUST

I lold so much! I love my urbies and probably have more play time in them than any of my other mechs. I love how people ignore them until I core them out and 360 spin on their graves. The amount of punishment they can take, coupled with the tiny hit boxes just astounds me sometimes. Urbie FTW!

150kph? I wish, mine only goes 101kph with max engine and 60% of speed tweak nodes.

Packing LPPC - 2xERML - 3xMG on mine.

To further emphasize they're assault mechs I plastered "ASSUALT" decals on it. lol

On my R63 I run the "baby arrow" build of one LL, two mls, and three mgs with xl 170 and it is probably my fav build. My K9 is running a Rac5 with two mls and is just hilarious. Maybe not as effective as others but it's a damn minigun toting urbie! I've come to like the hppc and Lmg R60 as well, liking that ppfld.

Urbies are top primary targets on my list since one of the little ******* hid between the legs of my king crab and **** punched me to death with impunity.

I'm addicted to LPPC - I use 3 because 4 is too hot and I lack self control.

This one is toasty - best to stick those snubbies in someone's backside. Talk about a good time!

Maybe not op, but definitely very good. They have ok speed, insane armour and good offensive quirks, plus good hardpoints and geometry.

They are no joke anymore. Not at all.

My unit mate was talking a long time about a K9 pulling his Orion IIC brawler apart like nothing. Without backup that K9 would have easily killed him 1-on-1. My unit mate is a much higher skilled and longer-term player than I, so it was pretty surprising.

The K9 must have had something approaching 100 CT armor judging from the alphas it took (I don't know the mech very well). Luckily I was packing low-mounted LB20s that the K9 couldn't get away from while brawling.

Time to get one I suppose! Looks like good fun.

Urbie's made a joke out of the joke and are just kicking tail all over the place. Seriously they are a very good light mech which is pretty shocking considering it was all done just of the hell of adding them. I personally think PGI did great with them. They kind of remind me of Kit Foxes and Adders. Also I don't think they are OP at all. Don't get me wrong, they are tanky as hell but they don't possess all that much firepower, not more really than any other light or light medium mech and while they have better hitboxes and tankiness, my Cougar has much more firepower (6 x MPL thank you) so it washes out in the end.

Urbies aren't OP... the rest of the 'Mechs just finally beginning to learn how to show their trashcan overlords the proper degree of respect and deference. Posted Image

its amazing how well a 30 ton mech does with a single ac5 and five small lasers. that build put it down as my 9th best mech according to metrics ive devised.

Of course they are. They're 100-ton monsters that run at 150 KPH.
