When you have both on youre MECH only the laser AMS works.
The regular AMS is not present in weapon group. And also not functioning.
Is this supposed to be ???
Or is this a mistake that will be rectified in a following patch ????

If that is a problem, it should be fixed in the following patch. That is not supposed to happen.
I have seen regular AMS function alongside Laser AMS on mechs. Most notably Kitfoxes sporting twin AMS and a single Laser AMS.
I have not personally combined them on live servers, but they worked fine for me on the PTS.

It is on a kitfox prime(I) version.
After youre reaction i looked deeper in to the problem and discovered when you put the laser AMS first in and then the regular AMS the last one is not recognized.
But when you put in the regular AMS first and after that the Laser AMS everything works fine.

Using a locust, I'm running an AMS and LAMS in tandem (two LAMS could get a bit too hot if missiles were everywhere).
I only notice the animation for the LAMS... which... I'm not sure if that is a bug or not. I am, also, not sure if the AMS damage is being taken into account.
I do notice AMS ammo depleting more quickly than I remember from before and exhausting AMS ammo results in a little over 500 AMS missile damage at the end of battle (as the LAMS continues functioning). That may be normal... it's been a very long time since I last ran AMS (before that stat was even tracked, if I remember correctly) - but it seems to me as if ammunition is being depleted at a rate consistent with 2 AMS.
Although... I don't notice heat increasing much at all while the LAMS is firing... so... I am not really sure what is going on. I'll create a couple videos after I eat and get back from swimming this evening for reference.

What we most urgently need is the ability to toggle off the LAMS without turning off AMS.
My 3 AMS Kit Fox has one Laser AMS so as not to run out of ammo mid-battle - but needs to toggle it off when brawling to control heat. This is behaves-as-designed for the LAMS.
But why should I have to turn off the ordinary AMS as well?
The interface separates them, yet the toggle links for no reason.
That could do with fixing.

@Tynam:
Have you considered using the arrow keys to move the selection system to select the single LAMS, and the right-Ctrl (can be remapped) to turn just that on/off? Not saying it shouldn't have its own button, but it's a workaround.
