I'm OK with it, minus the frikkin sword. One swat against mech armor and that oversized toothpick goes *SNAP*

it also needs to be slightly de-stylized (i loathe ballerina mechs)

Well, I'll be the first to admit I am no David White. But While I love his line art style, the cleanness and bold shading choices, I dislike how faithfully he recreates some of the designs. Like that little wasp waste on an 80 ton mech.... just doesn't feel right to me.

Does this Mech fit the timeline?

Introduced 3039, so yes it is ~10 years old by the timeline. It could very easily be Mech # 16 While the sword looks awesome on the Samurai themed mech, I do not know of any variants that actually use it. The default is 2 PPC & 2 SRM6

Well this mech has a chasis based off a mech that is the dumbest and biggest piece of crap I have ever seen. But it does use the weapon systems of a pretty good mech, so its okay.

However, the DC revamped the mech to make it look awesome and respectable, its a yes for me.

YES! Not only is the Hatamoto Chi a good mech, (yes, i know it's a copy of the Thug, GET OVER IT) but it would add a very nice samurai flavor to the current roster of mechs. The only question is...where's my knight mech!?...Brotha.

Re-designing the SLDF era Black Knight is a bit down my to do list, right after about 3-4 commissions. This one just happened to click for me, so hit the paper faster. I hate the MW-4 version of the BK.

Um...which mech clicked for you? the Hatamoto? Also, I was asking for a knight themed mech. The Black Knight isn't very knight-esque, I was thinking of something like the hatamoto, but with a knight theme.

Yes, the Hatamoto, ...that is my redesign.

And I feel the original 2750 Blacknight had some decent basic Knight themes, just need to be expanded upon like the Hatamoto's were.

Oh. I didn't realize in time that this was actually your drawing. XD Also, two things that should be on your Black Knight redesign: 1: Massive, exaggerated SHOULDER PAULDRONS. Any ancient warrior needs them. Especially knights! Also, maybe a Crusader helmet-esque head like this?Posted Image Just my bit of advice.
