UPDATE* Over 40,000 matches submitted so far! I know we can get to 100,000! Thanks you to everyone who submitted, keep them coming!

UPDATE2* Currently sitting at ~58k matches, I'm leaving it for the weekend, and I will make a new post in GD with the results of whatever submissions I got on Monday. I'll also be sending an email with the posts forum link as a reply to all those who contributed.

Hi guys, I'm trying to compile mech stats from lots of peoples personal statistics page.

If I get enough submissions, we can get a good picture of overall mech win loss rations, damage done, most popular mech, etc. At least out of the people who visit the forum.

If you would like to contribute, I need an excel file with your person stats in it. You may use the Excel method or the Google Sheets method. If you already know how to import these stats from your page, then skip to step 13.
If not; please follow these steps; it should only take a few minutes of your time.

Microsoft Excel (preferred method)

1. Open Microsoft Excel
2. Create a blank worksheet
3. Select the Data tab
4. Choose "From Web"
5. In the browser that opens up, visit "https://mwomercs.com"
6. Click the "Login" button at the top of the page, and sign in
7. Click "Profile" at the top of the page
8. Click on the "Stats" link
9. Click on "MECH STATS"
10. Make sure you are scrolled to the top of the webpage, and click on the small orange arrow in the top left corner
11. At the bottom of the window, click "Import". Excel will now import your stats. This may take a few minutes depending on your connection.
12. Click "OK" on the window that opens up asking you where you want to put the data. Wait a minute for the stats to be imported.
13. Save the file, and email it to; virtualriotmwo@gmail.com
14. Be content in knowing that I will have some data for you all soon and you helped make it happen! Posted Image

Google Sheets

1. Go to google drive and create a new google sheet
2. Visit your mech stats page as outlined in the above steps
3. Highlight these parts of the table all the way to the bottom for each mech entry
Posted Image
4. Copy what you have highlighted
5. Go to your google sheet, and click on cell A1
6. Paste using the keyboard shortcut "ctrl+v". You must use the shortcut.
7. Click on "File" in google sheets, and hover over "Download as".
8. Click on "Microsoft Excel"
9. Save the file
10. Email the file to; virtualriotmwo@gmail.com

Thanks Bandito, your submission will add a lot of data.
Quick clarification though, your stats say you've played the HBK-IIC for 24,855 days. Idk what happened, but can I get the real number?

It should, you'll have to figure out which tabs and functions to use.

Such stats are pointless, cuz they depend on personal skill, preferences and quality of matchmaking. So real 'Mech weights will be extremely indistinct.

Really? I hadn't thought of that /s

The point is that with enough data the stats become meaningful as an average

Although I must ask, without knowing load outs, what are you working on? Simply looking at performance of certain chassis from a high level view?

Yes, more or less. Just fun to see the data, maybe it will provide some insight who knows :) Btw thanks for all the submissions so far guys, the more the better!

I'm about to do it, but I'd like to inform you of a bug that currently exists in the stats screen. Some mechs display that their usage time is 24855 days 03:14:07 exactly no matter how much real time you have in them. I have 4 mechs like that but only 2 of them I extensively use.

Yes, I have noticed this as well. I will be excluding play time for those mechs that are bugged.

(IMHO) One stat stands head and shoulders above the rest as USELESS............Win/Loss! If you die at the beginning of a match and the team goes on to win then you get credited with a win even though you died at the start.

I take it you don't want archived stats then? Some of my stats are already pretty old and the archived stats would be even older.

Cant help you there. The site itself shows 24855 days and 3:15 hours. I suppose you can just take the 3:15 hours instead.

Negative. If one consistently does badly, then his WLR will be lower than those who are his betters, in the long run. Just how it is. There are some exception to the case such as a terribad constantly gets carried by his unit mates in GQ, but that is rare enough to ignore.

Archived stats are not as important as your current stats. Just current stats is fine.

I don't think you understand the point of an average.... those cases are rare, and the point of a study like this is that the rare cases get buried beneath all the more average cases.

Simple thing - my stats are all wrong, cuz I'm Tier 3 player, who have to play against Tier 1s. But if I would create brand new account and therefore will be able to play in potato league - I would be God even in the crappiest 'Mech in this game.
