Hey Guys!

Ok, so I have a long standing bug that I've been trying to fix for a while now..

I've done all I could think off, updated my drivers, run the repair tool, and whatnot, and nothing has fixed it yet..

The bug is basically this:

When I go to faction play, if I alt+tab out while in the FP screen, and go back to the game, I get this:

It basically turns my whole game into a strobe of graphical glitches that flicker in 1 second intervals.

The bug persists in all UI screens until I actually drop a mech in-game, or log out..

Has anyone encountered this?

Has anyone fixed it?

I have contacted servises and Bobby said to make a clean install of the latest drivers and close all 3rd party programs like browsers and stuff.. But it did not work at all..

I have ATI Radeon R9 200 series graphics card (latest drivers), and my machine has no problems with any other game. It runs MWO in max settings without any other issue..

So hivemind.. please.. help?

That could be some vram problem. Not completely sure however. You can try flashing new bios with different vram timings-it's not that hard on 290 series. Also worth monitoring temps for some time - could be some cooling failure on secondary components (VRM?).

Did you notice me saying that this happens ONLY in MWO? Why would it be a cooling problem or a VRAM problem just in MWO? All my other games work flawlessly..

Somehow I'm not too inclined to go messing with bios settings I don't really understand that much for just one game's bug..

But I thank you for your opinion. Posted Image

I hope I hear some more possible solutions..

That does not mean much actually. P-state changing with vram frequency changing during alt+tab with wrong timings can cause some unexpected behavior similar to overclocking failure issues. As for cooling- well, r9 290 VRM's are quite hot and do not control fan speed directly, so its still worth monitoring.
Since you reinstalled drivers, its quite likely a hardware problem, but you could also try installing the earlies drivers available for this card.
