It was another day in the hangars. Another Op, another drop.

The usual - "hurry up and wait"

- The 'mech bay was cleaned
- Weapons checked and oiled
- battle drills rehearsed until the crews respond in their sleep
- reactor cores cleaned and polished, inside & out
- oil cans stacked with all labels facing out
- all the loo rolls in the heads were regulation 1-piece outside overhang
- new air-fresheners were hanging from the seat eject handles

The deck master calls: "all ready for drop, Sir"

The commander replies: "Sorry Deck Master. Do another orbit of the planet - we're still Pending!"
