Russ announced on Twitter that he has approved Hitbox changes for the Uziel that will be in the August patch. There will be no additional quirks until the results of the Hitbox changes are analyzed.

I am holding off on skilling up a variant until I see where this goes.

UAC20+MRMs on one of them, HPPC+ERPPC+JJs on another.

Both got me to around number 50 on their respective leaderboards... and that was after a weekend of really awful PUG teams, with way more losses than wins. I could have improved to the 30s with a few more matches, but I just wasn't enjoy the matches.

I do regret buying the chassis. It's not competitive, and offers nothing unique ... well, other than it's ability to die through side torso loss quicker than any other Medium. Nostalgia is a poor guide when it comes to MWO Mech selection :)

What a coincidence! I'm planning no further Mech Pack purchases and no further playtime in the Uziel.

So please PGI, take all the time you like to learn what anyone who actually played your game for a week already knows Posted Image

Uh oh. Last time this happened it was all about the Dragon's infinite nose, and the Dragon got such yuge STs that it was unplayable and needed another revision. If they reduce ST hitboxes just to increase CT greatly and give it Dragon Nose Syndrome, that's not a real good fix either. The UZL needs armor quirks more than it needs hitbox revisions.

By the way, I was 20th on the 3S(S) leaderboard and as high as 5th until I had to take Sunday off the game and only play two hours Monday.

I agree with Sachiel. Uziel need good team (which is impossible in almost all public games), piloting skills and situation awareness. I built my Uziels mainly on Light engines, but better mobility and loadout with XL is probably better than LFE without one torso (and half of poor firepower).

I played two variants:
3S - 4x ERML + 1LBX10, LFE280
3P - 1xUAC10 + 2xERML + 2xLMG, LFE280

Both work fine but you have to be patient and wait till your team do some action.
Tried 3P with 1xHPPC + 1xMPL + 3x LMG and many JJs. Good build too, but too situational for me because i am not good with PPCs.

I said it once the final model was released, I'll say it again.

Reduce ST volume, increase arm volume, & make it squatter and you fix so many issues the chassis has.

Lot of truth to this.

i was expecting all weaknesses we got in game, so biggest disappointment for me is visual model from pelvis to the ground and movement animation. That is much different from the preorder visualization and surprisingly from official wallpaper (imo)

I mucked with the UA variant . Tossed the ultra cannons and small lasers . Equipped ERLL and machine guns . Those high torso energy hard points are very very shweet for poking over mountains .

It won't be decent unless you give it a health amount of armor quirks and heatgen...
Well just give it heatgen to increase its DPS.

Other than that its along the lines of the Kintaro.

The Poopche(trebutchet) is even superior.

EDIT: Well actually everything is superior to it.

Despite what people think, It is not the IS shadowcat, not even close.

This was my favorite mech in previous games.... Somehow, it's weirdly disproportionate and should be smaller??? I don't see them lasting very long as they are currtently structured. I am so glad I didn't buy them or the Tharantos......
