Returning after 3 years out of the game. Here is my list of mechs:
SHadowhawk 5M
Shadowhawk 2d2
CN9-AH
CTF-3D
CTF-IM
CTF-2x
What would you say is the best Mech I currently own for solo play? I'm thinking the CTF-IM but I am not sure. Setups and reasons why to go witha certain Mech are welcome. Thank you in advance!

The IM is good for entirely differrent reasons. The Cataphract chassis has awkward and low hardpoints and kind of weak hitboxes, but the hero variant is great because it has a few very spesific gimmicks going for it. I have especially seen 3 AC10 or 3 LB10-X builds going around, which no other mech can pull off the same. Otherwise the CTF has mostly been outclassed by other mechs that have more practical locations for their weapons.

remember to take a look at the new tech, there are a lot more weapon options than there were 2 weeks ago, as well as the Light Fusion Engine which allows you to suvive a side torso loss and put an (U)AC20 in the side torso.

The 2D2 one is weird. Decidedly non-meta, almost like an optimized stock loadout, but it feels really satisfying and works decent for mid-ranged fire support.

You have solid mechs there. The IM, you might wanna try a UAC10+ 2 UAC5's too. though i always ran mine with AC20 + machine guns.. I sold it on accident, but maybe UAC20+2 LMG's, 2 ERML's and an LFE might be fun too.

I've only posted now to add that the IM also has 2 high energy hardpoints either side of the cockpit, the sort of place you could throw some snppc or hppc if that's your kinda thing.

The SHDs are large, squishy, have a limited FOV turn like crap compared to other meds and get their shoulderweapons shoot out if you're a beginner.
Only thing going for them are their high shoulder mounts....sad that their muzzleflashes block your sight.
