Same with IS UACs. I can't count the times I ended up with jammed UACs after the first shot. Usually happens when you really need that firepower.
UACs are way too random if you can't boat them or have reduced jam chance quirks.

At least it works the other way too. Watch a UAC mech panic when you push it and won't back down after his first double tap and possible jam.

Which is why I always pair my UACs with a secondary weapon set that is just as powerful. Like my Bushwacker with a UAC/10, I also carry 4 SRM4s on it. Or my assaults with UAC/20s, I pair them with SRMs and/or MRMs. Or my Dragon, which I pair the UAC/10 with several ER medium lasers.
