They would not lose any hero money by implementing my idea. They would gain huge amounts of hero money. People would be spending MC to Heroize all sorts of Mechs.

Please, do not perpetuate the falsehood of this idea cutting into "Hero Revenue."

This is something War Thunder does. Buy a medallion for the tank and it turns into a hero status. And yeah, War Thunder also sells premium planes and tanks, and so this does not appear to cut into their sales.

What pgi could do is make the champion and hero characteristics upgrades you can buy for your favourite chassis. If you buy champion you get the 10% bonus and if you buy hero you get the 30% and the camo.
