Heavy Gauss Rifle unusable with so short a charged period. Why even bother putting it in the game? I thought my controls were bugged at first.

You can always use 1 point in weapon tree and extend gauss charge when using Heavy Gauss, just for your muscle memory

Sure, but you shouldn't need to Skill up a weapon to make it have basic functionality. That should not become a balance point.

It's just too much nerf. Really cheapens the game. I am thinking RACs are more powerful than any Gauss and isn't a double shot of UAC20 15 more damage? Somehow MWO elevates the Gauss to the Gom Jabbar of mech weapons, but in reality it's just a mech rifle.

Not sure how it's nerf as that's the way the weapon was released. Nerfed would imply that the Heavy Gauss had better properties at one point.

Mechwarrior 4 had the Heavy Gauss working fine with the same properties and no charge-up and MWO's Gauss didn't have a charge-up until June 2013. Charge-up is NOT canon BattleTech, where in the Gauss weapons have no charge phase, so it is always a nerf. RACs are better anyway if you can aim so the charge-up Gauss seems like a farce, more now than ever before.

Heavy Gauss must not have charge-up as I convinced.

I thought it would be a great weapon for my Grid Iron......sold it after three games.

What utter trash!

The light Gauss rifle that replaced it has since proven to do more damage, more consistently.

Eh its one skill node. What I don't like is the reticle shake garbage, that is what needs to go ASAP.

Screen shake needs to increase for racs, gauss should be a single shake

100% Agreed.

Heavy gauss has such a short range and short charge that it almost impossible to use. The charge hold is even shorter!

The screen shake is fine.

The charge up time is fine.

The charge hold is too short.

The range is questionable.

A brawler weapon range with an unreliable fire rate (due to having to charge and recharge without firing, sometimes multiple times)....best to stick with a UAC 20 or AC 20

This is NOT mechwarrior 4.

Also, MW4's online multiplayer was horribly unbalanced and obnoxious. An extremely bad example to compare to, and illustrates how weak your argument is.
