He had a very loyal following in Comstar and some Comstar units actually defected to Victors side during the Civil War.
One ComGuard division defected to Victor's side, the 244th, and that only after it had experienced bloody infighting because of Victor's appointment to Precentor Martial, losing a whole Level III.
You have to keep in mind it was still ComStar and the Davion-name was not exactly welcome there. Actually Victor's appointment led to a new surge in defections of ComGuards to the WoB simply because they would not serve under him and/or saw his position in the order as proof of its moral decline.
Even the ComGuards who stayed still held a grudge, and the 299th and 66th Divisions were more than happy and eager to turn their guns on Victor, announcing their intention to do so at the very start of the FCCW. Among the very last defenders of Katherine
were the Battle Smokers. Conversly, traditional Davion units considered the ComGuard their enemy (old habits die hard) and there were many instances of hostility if not open combat especially when DCMS units attacked the Draconis March.
Given how disruptive Victor's first term as Precenter Martial turned out to be, and given the defections and violence it sparked, it is fair to say his standing with ComStar was less than great. It only improved during the Jihad.

As far as I know he finished out his career with Comstar
Obviously he left ComStar when the ComGuards were disbanded and joined the RAF. He too then joined the RAF and served it faithfully.

thank you for the link i did read it. My god there was a lot to go through.
It's just a summary.
Victor has been the main protagonist of the majority of the Battletech novels (which is why many people dislike him) so there are a lot of stories to cover by this fan article.
