If I buy a mech of the same variant that I already own, am I able to use the XPs from the 1st mech on the 2nd mech for skill points?

Thanks

As far as I know they track differently for mech xp. You can use gxp to level skill points or if you have a lot of historical xp it will work for both. I have the jenner d and the jenner d sarah version. The sarah version has exact same chassi and build. Pgi tracks it as just another jenner d. hxp (historical) works on both. mech xp will not transfer between the two. Gxp you can spend on both. All the xp currency gets bit hard to track of what does work and what doesn't.

There is no sharing of any experience values between variants save GXP and GSP. Even between exact duplicates, you must skill them separately and each will build separate pools of XP. Everytime you buy another duplicate, you must start over in terms of XP.

Which is utterly ridiculous for an alleged "skill" tree. But this is PGI we're talking about. Posted Image

Thanks for the replies. I just don't want to spend MC (real money) to convert XP to GXP. Looks like I'll just have to grind in QP for skill points. 72,800 XP = 91 SP Posted Image

What's funny is, I actually really like how they did that. It kind of coerces you-unless you really, really want a completely identical copy-to try a different build.

I've been considering getting a two more Huntsman Primes, one for Streaks and one for Ballistics, because of it.

Don't know about sharing XP between copies of the same variant, but I was pleasantly surprised lately when I bought a Myst Lynx of the same variant that I sold a year ago, and found it came with 23 historic SP.. (it was basiced when I sold it)

That was kinda cool :D

Good life lesson...never go to the grocery store hungry and never buy mechs after partying.

I have 7 Urbanmechs...I'd sell them...but...they're Urby's...so..Posted Image
