Hmm...well...color my builds distasteful I guess...

PPC Firestarter.....I have this AND a PPC Panther...fun as heck to play....

LRM Uziel...I ran one last night (uh...forgot which) that I had an LRM5 on. I don't use it to boat...I use it to make the enemy's LRM boats pull their heads in (many of them just see they're being targeted and panic). Really helps to get close sometimes if you're not running ECM and you are boat hunting. Speed helps too of course.

Any LRM assult...yes and no...Jeez, the freaking Anni should just stand still and ripple fire. Takes FOREVER to get to the battle line sometimes. I had a couple of bad match drops and by the time I could even SEE the circle the enemy was at 0:38 (WTF PGI?). The Stalker can be a great mix of long, medium, and short. I'm not endorsing standing in the back but if you're only going 40-54 kph there's nothing wrong with softening them up on your way in. Especially in pub matches where the lights are in the back and the mediums keep running off after the squirrel...

I've always been a fan of Assaults packing one or two light LRM's, not just to soften at range but also to buy time to get to cover. The giant flashing missile indicator is a great way to keep enemies occupied and not shooting your slow a**.

EDIT: Hell, it's not a bad idea to pack an LRM5 in to lighter Mechs either, the missile warning will make most pilots bolt to cover.

I run a 4 LPPC + 2 ERSL firestart.

The Vindi is a lot better than it used to be. Little snot is quirked to hell and back, making it a pretty decent ERPPC poptart. I've even brawled in my 1AA with moderate success.

Well, one build I just ran into in QP.

Nova on my team had the following:
ERPPC
MiPL
MiPL
TAG
LRM10

What's even the plan behind this build? Fire support I guess? But it's so hilariously undergunned and he didn't even bother sharing armor. He was 1km+ from the fight and just plinking people with the PPC.

I couldn't think of a more scatterbrained build which he managed to do a grand total of 40 damage with during his first and only encounter with my teammates.

Had a last mech standing I was observing through that was a Timberwolf with 4 LRM 10s.

That's it...four LRM10s!

No TAG
No active probe
No secondary weapons!

This beat out the previous winner an Atlas AS7-s with 4 LRM15,2 medium lasers and a TAG and probably around 10 tons of ammo!
