I'm relatively new to MWO, and have owned a Razer Orbweaver for a long time, but never really found a serious use for it, but a friend suggested setting it up for MWO as it would mimic the pilot's hands in the cockpit. So, I've tried several different keybinding setups, but nothing seems to be really effective.

I just wondered if anyone had a really good keybinding setup that they might like to share?

Do you use an Orbweaver?

How do you set yours up?

For those not aware of what an Orbweaver is it's a gaming keypad for your left hand:

Personally I'd set the top row of keys as 1-5 and the rest simply mirroring the main keyboard. I've still got a Nostromo (same thing only older) and that's what I did for playing WoT.

I've got a G600 mouse with way too many buttons, and unintentionally I use the most in MWO - 2 extra weapon groups, night and heat vision, mouse wheel + its clicks for each zoom level and on a very rare occasion a macro for some dakka fun, oh and back when I was playing cw I had a macro for posting TS address and password. A mouse is really useful, not sure how all this will translate to keyboard..

I have an Orbweaver, as far as buttons go...just use what you are comfortable with. I just reprogram them with the game.

I rebound a few of the keys for vision modes, ECM etc. (just to have it on there in non-critical places)
And I rebound the Thimb switch (alt by default) to 3 so I have weapon groups 1-3 on quick triggers.
Which leads to weapon group 1 being left arm, 2 being right arm, and 3 being torso weapons 9/10 times, or group 3 being lock on weapons with 1 and two being arms and torso respectively

I use its predecessor, the Razer Nostromo.

It's much more comfortable than using a traditional keyboard.

The keys I use, beyond the obvious WASD, are:
04 = MASC
05 = Air Strike
06 = Toggle Arm Lock
10 = Arty Strike
Thumb Button = R Key (targeting)

I will get around to using the Thumb Joystick for the Commo Rose at some point.
