Hi, does anyone know how much AMS contributes to CBills and Match Score?

Sorry. Went back to thru the patch notes starting in April (where they changed AMS shooting down missiles to add to the match score) thru the last ones and while their are generalities (it will contribute to match score), there is no math or values provided that suggests how. I believe there has been a thread or two of folks trying to break down their scores to determine the math. I'll see if I can find those, but even that was just estimation. I'll try and find em...

Edit: there are two threads after the hot fix where it is hypothesized that the MS is 1 point per 6 or 7 missiles. Originally it was 1 point per 3 missiles. Edit 2: Mcgral has a couple of posts asserting that it is 1 point per 7 missles. Best I could find.

I just played a match where I shot down exactly one missile with my AMS, according to the EOM screen.

While the EOM screen doesn't show any CBill earnings for AMS (because, PGI) when I add up the displayed CBills earned, it totals 4 CBills less than the actual displayed total CBills I earned.

Therefore, it would appear that shooting down a single missile earned me... 4 CBills.

Put another way, AMS will earn you two-fifths of ****-all, even if you happen to shoot down all 3000 missiles shot at you during your average PUG match.

I'm more interested in Match Score however. And I have no way to work that out from the EOM data displayed.

Nothing to c-bills, and way too much to match score.

0.1425 Match score per missile from what I could tell testing it. It's really not the huge score booster as some people believe. More often than not with a single AMS you're getting less than 10 matchscore boost from it.

Curious how you tested it as I tried but my results were too erratic for me to be happy with the figures I got.

Either way the rewards seemed minor at best.

Its a teamplay mechanic, so i would guess nothing. Only read that the matchscore points was lowered someday but i couldnt see any numbers either on Cbill nor on XP score tables.

AMS lets you and your teammates live longer, giving you more time to get CB and matchscore.
I like living, so most of my mechs run AMS.

But I'm sure even the scariest loadout can spend that 1-1,5t.
Because when you equip so many weapons that you kill your enemies faster, you don't need full armor Posted Image

I think it actually should be rewarded because you have to devote tonnage to it to support your team. I mean I can take my Purifier build and do 400-500 damage, kill a few mechs, gets some KMDDs, etc and get a big reward at the end of a match or I can take my AMS support Kit Fox, do maybe 200-250 damage, usually only get all assists and about 100k less in the reward category but hey I shot down 300 missiles and enabled my team to get higher rewards.

Seriously it is kind of like how lights are expected to run the bases in Conquest but get diddly squat for rewards if they actually do the job they are best suited to doing.

Private lobby with 3 people. One person with AMS did nothing but stood between us and shot down missiles. The recipient did nothing but get shot at. Then the LRM boat suicided and the two of us on the winning team compared our two scores. The difference was the AMS score. Then you just divide the difference by number of missiles killed.

It may not be 100% right, but it's very close to 0.1425.

Trick is to shoot down enough missiles to minimize the rounding error.
