What exotic environmental conditions do you want to see?

I wouldn't mind seeing treacherous things like lava and such too where the environment itself can be as deadly as the other team and good piloting comes into effect.

Varying different worlds with different gravity, different ambient temperatures, added environments like (topless) beaches and hula girls

I'm especially interested in environments that will directly affect the gameplay... let's hope for:
hot/cold environments (heat management)
variable gravity (speed/acceleration/jumping)
varying atmospheres (affecting weapon range and visibility).
What else am I forgetting?
I'm pretty sure they're planning a smaller set of planets to start, but these would be fantastic worlds/environments to add as the game develops. This is why we want Free to Play!

Hoth/Europa planets or Ice planets. So cold that the mech needs Heat sinks stripped off to keep it running. Possibility of hot springs in case mech starts freezing up. White out conditions. Basically bring your lasers, flamers and PPCs.
High density world. Basically Gravity is 10x the normal force. Lowers the range or shells drop quickly (try arking it in.) Missiles miss more often whether guided or unguided. Beam weapons have slightly reduce range and reduced damage (denser air means hitting more before hitting enemy mech.)

Plus who knows you might have to fight indiginous creatures as well as battlemechs.

hot/cold to affect heat building
Gravity to affect speed/handling
Dust/snow storms to affect visibility
Severe electric effects to disrupt ECM stuff.

1) Dense forest
2) Swamps
3) methane rivers, lakes, and oceans on frozen mining planets.
4) rolling planes on a jovian moon, looking up at the planet filling 3/4 of the sky. complete with lighter grav.
5) heavy gravity
6) onbord dead Ship/station ie. no gravity need jump jets on this one, and watch the recoil
just a couple of ideas besides rain, fog, and city.

Why the heck would you be fighting over lava? Works in movies, but any half way sane military commander is gonna pull out if there's a volcano going off at the region.
I've alway's felt that they were a bit gimicky even in movies (eg Star Wars , the air above a sea of lava would torch you)
Cold worlds are going to be at most a world like Titan (around Saturn) with liquid methane. Cold yeah, pretty much means unlimited heat I guess. Colder than that and the entire atmosphere freezes up and you actually loose heat slower as vacuum doesn't absort extra heat well (you have to use gases to carry the mechs heat away efficiently)
Ten times gravity means you're on a gas planet, and your heart will fail in a short period of time as it's overworked merely to pump blood, you become unconscious in a short period of time (within seconds). Not to mention no dropship in battletech can land on such a planet. There would be nothing worth fighting over on a high gravity planet. Nobody lives there, and there are no useful minerals at the surface because they all sink to the core more quickly during planet formation.
Asteroids? Maybe, Some might have hidden space facilities, or possibly hgh grade sources of Platinoids (or Germanium as it's very valuable in btech) Probably better to hit these with aerotech fighters and marines as the very low/almost zero g gravity will make mechs almost useless in comparison, but btech does some strange things sometimes...

Dude.
MechWarrior Online, not MechWarrior vs. Star Wars
AFAIK in the BT universe, the worlds have been colonized by humans and I don't recall (though I am far from knowledgeable of the entire BT timeline) any actual "aliens" besides those who have snuck across another House's borders.

I think he means more along the lines of indigenous flora and fauna, like the burrock. Alien life on planets is well-known in battletech, but they take the form of native plants and animals. I don't think there is anything big enough to damage a mech though.
I think there is only one instance in one novel where an intelligent alien species is mentioned, but they are at a caveman-ish level and that book was complete rubbish.
As for harsh worlds, yes a hot jupiter would be quite a bit too harsh. However, that doesn't rule out a host of close-but-not-quite-inhabitable planets. What may not be inhabitable now would surely at least be livable in battletech.
Consider a planet like Mars but with barely breathable air. It still has iron oxide sandstorms, no liquid water, freezing temperatures at night, reduced gravity, and vast red deserts.

The BT universe has plenty of critters: the Branth, the Dagada, the Megasaur, the Nolan, and the Surat ("a cute, monkey-like mammal native to the Clan Homeworlds that the lower Castes keep as pets" and origin of the Clan epithet), among others.
For sentient and (almost?) sapient aliens, see The Sword and the Dagger and (much more (in)famously) Far Country.
*jumps into his Marauder for safety upon mentioning Far Country
**wonders if his Marauder could take on an enraged megasaur...
