Is anyone else having issues with decal placement on the MC Mk2? I have the MCII-2(S) in my mechlab and am trying to place my unit tag letters on my mech, but when I click, to place the letter, it is placing it a bit lower than where it showed it. The placement error is MUCH worse near the ankles of the mech. This is driving my OCD insane, since I want the letters to align straight, but after messing with it for 10 minutes I've given up.

Is this just me, or are other people experiencing the same issue?

I put in a report within a few days of the mech being added. You just have to pre-emptively aim your decals higher than you want them. It really sucks.

What really sucks is that you can't zoom in to better place them. Its annoying trying to get the decal in the exact right spot I want on a light mech (like a commando) or on a small part of a larger mech.

That's an old bug.. it's been happening basically since Decals were introduced..

What ticks me off about decals is that you can't place them anywhere you want on the mech.. some mechs basically have "decal placement slots" and if you move the decal anywhere else, you get the crossed box..

I get it this is an old game, but Need For Speed was stretching, placing and editing decals back in the 90's, anywhere on the car..

I would kill for the vinyl system from NFS Most Wanted, or even Underground2.. god forbid something newer like NFS Carbon.. Posted Image

Those games have customisation down to a fine art. The system was fluid, intuitive, and nuanced enough that you could do some truly unique stuff.

I'd love for MWO to take a few pages out of that book.
