Kmdd In Match Summary

Would it be possible to list kmdd and solo kills in the team summary after a match ?
Why is this not already done? Are or were there any objections against it?
Would the kill value not become more meaningful with kmdd and solo kills being shown?
Which meaning has the kill value in the team summary without showing kmdd and solo kills as well ?

While the thread took its course there were useful suggestions made in this thread regarding the statistics:
  • add solo kills to team summary -Kiiyor
  • include these stats in the user profile -Kiiyor
  • Viktor Drake:
    - individual damage done to mech
    - damage broken down by weapons
    - damage taken
  • kill efficiency meter: accuracy, least damage, highest outcome (including head shots, back shots, xl hits, component destruction etc.) -LordNothing
  • include team damage -Athom83
  • giving credit for effective tanking (e.g. effectively use armor in an assault. as a kind of weapon -SamsungNinja
  • Nine-Ball:
    - visualization style, e.g. graphs, pie charts
    - historical data over periods: x matches, current season, from day 1
    -> tracking changes, over time
    - publish a REST API with queries to allow getting individual information out of the recorded data

In general while a few are not interested in stats of others or want them further reduced, the majority of the posters here are looking for a change to include more meaningful stats for several different reasons ranging from better performance self-evaluation to more transparency of the team performance after a match in total.

This I would like (along with adding KMDD & Solo Kill to the Team summary), then I would know at a glance which 'mechs are efficient killing machines and which just vomit a lot of damage.

I try to keep track of my own stats to monitor that. If you work out dmg/kill, you can get a general indication of which mechs kill more efficiently - though it's still a streaky stat. KMMD and Solo Kills would be far more stable metrics to measure against.

I wish we had a more robust stats system myself, similar to what they have in WoWS. I would actually like to know things like how much damage I did to each mech at the end of the match, how much damage I took, which weapons did how much damage, really just a much fuller set of stats so I could personally evaluate my performance better.

Is there a way to get answers for the questions by an employee of the game's publisher? Do I have to use another communication channel or is this the wrong forum maybe ?

id like to tell by looking at somones stats whether they earned their kills or just stole them or if they do lots of damage but have trouble finishing their targets. i dont really care about kill stealers though, if it helps us win, good. winning should be the only thing that matters. but if you are looking for a guy who can clean up the battlefield it would come in handy.

kinda also want some kind of kill efficiency meter. least damage with the most result. including head shots, back shots, xl hits, component destruction etc. problem is coming up with a metric that filters out the contributed kills. would have to consider the percentage of damage that you did, if it was a significant portion (you earned kmdd or solo kill). this would be factored against the portion of total damage you did. something like: (1/maxDamage)*(maxDamage-appliedDamage)*percentDamageInflicted. values closer to 1 would be considered more efficient. you could do these for both kills, and components destroyed to give points for crippling blows as well as killing ones.

No, there's no way to get an answer unless they decide to respond.

Try Twitter and tweet @russ_bullock, that's about as close as you will get.

KMDD shows up in challenges.

It absolutely should show up on your stat sheets. Being a missile boater, my KMDD numbers compared to killing blows is almost inevitably higher, seeing as I bludgeon most targets to death, and I'll frequently end a game with 4 or so KMDDs but zero kill shots thanks to people pumping pinpoint damage into stuff I'm tenderizing.

Don't understand why KMDDs and solo kills aren't already in the team summary - just as important as kills and overall damage imo - especially if damage is low relative to kills (which seems to raise the assumption of 'kill stealing').

They also need to include team damage. Either counting that into the end damage done or right next to the normal damage in red. They have a lot of room there, they can always fit more info.

They need to add credit for tanking damage before worrying about displaying more epeen. Working your butt off in an Atlas and making the game-winning push possible by tanking 300+ damage should merit some recognition and reward, but it's literally the only thing you do that doesn't give you credit. You get points for NARC when other people damage the 'mech, all you did was tag it.

We need to give credit to the players that do the dirty work of drawing the enemy's fire.

because cranking out more un-needed mechs is more important than useful changes to the already aged game engine.

I think kills as a measure and ranking of players on teams is fundamentally worthless and I say this as a notorious kill securer all to happy to vulture dying or weakened mechs. Kill most damage dealt should be what people are going for, not actual kills.

I really can care less who on my team has any kmdd. Put this right next to k/dr.

In that case, stop showing your tier bar. It doesn't really mean anything either, right?

KMDD is meaningful because it represents someone actually making effort, especially when you're comparing it to straight up kills that can be had by scraping someone's cherry red CT at barely-damaging range.

So agree with this, you get 3-4 KMDD but miss the killing blow from some machine gun boat who jumps in to help finish off the crippled mech and you look like a potato.

Would also be nice to have the KMDD stat per game alone side the kills /game

Agree with this too - drawing the enemy's fire helps the rest of the team get their damage and kills (seems much easier to take out other mechs when you're not the focus of the enemy team's fire). A single stat for damage taken shouldn't be difficult to add.
