I guess for starter, I imagine faction kills is not ALL of the factions combine.

But none the less... right now, the QP is moments away from finishing, but the FP kill counts (for me) is still abysmal in progress.

Very simple explanation for this..

QP challenges are alot easier and faster to achieve, so most people probably went for those first.. and will only work on FP part of the event when all the QP stuff is done..

I know that's how it is with me.. and I'm guessing most people are not much different..

Telling people to hold their fire is not really a good advice for a game focussed on shooting mechs.
Don't encourage hiding.

Nobody said to hide. The art of kill-stealing is not confined to merely hiding in a corner and waiting for an enemy's health to drop low. One can actively push with the team and shoot at the enemy and still get kills. One have to know when to save the alpha/heat, and exactly how much damage is needed to destroy a section of a mech. If I wanted to, I can do 600+ damage and still secure plenty of kills. ;)

not to forget all the Drop Bugs in FP ...and really ,the FP is only a Respawn Quickplay with 30 Minutes , not more , nothing tactical or Strategical Deep ,or Immersion or results for FP ...no Fabrications to hold and defense for Ammunition logistic or better Chassies and Ammuniton Problems by longer Battles , no tactical lanes between the systems, no really deployment of troops by the Planets (32 Heavys , 48 Mediums ,3 Assaults and 12 Lights) no PVE Elements for stationary of Planets..its give better FP Systems in other Games , better Gamemeodes in old Games (seeing the Invasion mode in UT2004 or the Modes with more Immersion in Battlefield Bad Company 2)

Theoretically, 48 v 48 mechs in 30 minutes should generate a faster kill rate than 12 v 12 in 15 minutes.

However, the rate of games in FP is probably muuuuch slower, especially during the week.

I know that I've been doing QP and will probably only start doing FW once I have a block of time, i.e. this weekend.

Faction play: such an inefficient waste of time... And, as a relativly new player, more stress than needed in a game that is pretty stressful to begin with,

And, we wonder why our population is as low as it is (whatever that actual number is......)

I played the previous event and see absolutely no logical reason to play FW ever again. Even the team I belong to isn't playing FW anymore as a team.............

PGI: take the hint, eh?!

In addition to that has been mentioned previously, I think one of the biggest issues with FW is that unless you're a hardcore try-hard, with hardcore metabuilds, and part of a large and co-ordinated unit, there really isn't much of a point. PUG in a build that isn't meta, and you risk having to deal with salty drop leaders on top of being blamed for every setback your team suffers (even if you win). And that's in addition to having your face pushed in for half an hour.

You can do all that, or you can drop into QP where the salt is less personal and the builds don't matter that much except at higher levels.

My biggest problem with current FW: now we have QP maps in FW, but if terrible map rotation offers you something like Polar or broken MM offers you stomp by some top Tier players - then it's 4x more terrible, than QP one, cuz you have to die 4 times instead of 1 this time and waste 4x more time as the result. So no. We don't have balance, good maps and matchmaker in this game, but at least terrible QP matches end fast.

i dont think this works as discribed unless its a new feature. last time i tried it didnt work. it wouldnt let me drop my other deck because i had one out already. not sure about scouting.

as far as pay/time goes i think fp is actually better. even though technically you could play many qp games. figure if you arent making at least 3x your qp pay in fp its probibly better to play the former.

You have to remember to actually swap the deck, as I have done it before as in a match we had 3 DCs that never returned to the match and they were the only ones left alive at the end of the match with 4 drops. So instead of waiting till either the timer ran out or they got their mechs I left the match swapped to deck 1 (was using Deck 2) and went right in.
