Greetings MechWarriors. I've got an idea today. What if we could buy a token that would give any mech in our stable a unique earnings bonus that converts up to 40% C-bills earned into MC? With a proper exchange rate, of course, so 3,000 C-Bills = 1 MC, as an example. Would this be good for the game? Would you buy a token or play this game more?

They would have to charge a lot. Otherwise it's just cutting into their MC sales.

That's definitely a unique idea, but there is no real basis for it being viable in this game economy. Generally, games like this keep their premium currency available only from purchases, events, and their competitive modes. Otherwise, they're going to lose a pretty large cash revenue stream.

Now, tokens to make mechs into the equivalent of heroes that get boosted C-Bills on the other hand... That I think should be added.

Well, they've got a little something like that with the high-end bonus cockpit items from the Civil War pre-orders, so it seems they're moving in that direction.

But, yeah, I have to agree that letting mechs produce MC is a losing proposition for PGI. Such an item would have to be priced insanely high to make up for the potential hit to MC sales.

Right. It'd have to cost a proportionately large MC amount. Lets say that in real money terms it'd cost $30. Remember that this MC would be reinvested, most likely, into mechs, mech bays or premium time encouraging you to spend more money. It'd be a psychological trick of "I can pay $5 and buy that mech now, or grind a few more hours..." either they'll spend money or time in the game.

Or, this "token" could be a second premium time which grants a small amount of MC per win. If you play enough, and win often, you'll recoup the cost - which you can invest into more of those tokens. Which means you play more and try to win often. Which leaves you with more MC to invest...

I also agree with the token for 30% more c-bills idea.
