I am confused with heavy gauss, doesn't it functions like all the other guass variants?

I've messing around with one on a Flame and what is weird is I charge it up, the bar turns green, I let go of button and.....nothing happens.

sometimes this happens 3,4 times in a row before I actually get one off.

oddly in the testing grounds I don't have this problem and I don't have this problem with and of the other gauss variants.

Heavy Gauss is basically a much larger, as the name implies heavier version of an AC20 with charge time and shorter range.

I wouldn't use it much, tbh. What you're experiencing sounds like a bug or heavy lag.

Heavy Gauss "green" zone has a much shorter duration for when it can be fired than normal/light gauss. Dunno if this is a bug or intended, but for the time being... you need to be exact on when it lights up green or you'll miss your chance to fire and have to charge it up again.

This can be countered by taking 1 gauss charge skill and it'll be just like using a normal gauss rifle.

I had the same problem when trying it. Either the sound doesn't match the charge phase or something like that. It seems you have to charge the hgauss longer. Taking the gauss nodes I heard can help.

That's because it has a 1 second charge time, and I'm not sure if they bothered changing the UI from the 0.75s Gauss

Its green when i let go...so you just have to be exact on green but not on green?

It holds the charge for 1.5s

It takes 1 second to charge

It's a MWO analogue of AWM sniper rifle when doubled. Requires skill and reaction.
