It' s not the matchmaker. It' s not the balancing. It' s not the potatoes nor the tier system...there...

THERE MUST BE A GRAND DESIGN !!

What is it ? What is its purpose? The Intentions? Why us ? Are we doomed??

IS IT THE MONEY ?!!

Are we sitting in Plato's cave ?

All answers welcome :)

of course. pgi wants money more than they want to be game designers. its not just games, every industry puts profits over purpose.

Indeed. In this case, PGI had the foresight to pay for an exclusive license to a niche product that has a VERY dedicated fan base.
They know fully well that as long as they keep the mechporn coming they can get away with pretty much anything and continue to make at least reasonable returns. Why put in effort when your essentially captive audience has no alternative than your product?

Funny, I have spent around $90 in around 3 and a half years on this game.... I think I have spent more on HBS version. The difference is I have faith in HBS, they seem to care about their games, and their player base. I don't even really care for a turn based game, I am more into a sim. This is not it.....I have learned to let go, and I don't spend doe on this game anymore, hell, I hardly play it. Just don't have time, and if I did, I wouldn't be playing it as much as I used to anyways. Lets hope the new version PGI is working on has something more to offer... this is just not it.
