That is what Mode-Voting would be for - to chose between Obliteration or Obejctives Gameplay!

Lucky you. On multiple occasions I've seen the last-'mech-standing in Conquest or Assault be the bright spark who decided to walk across the map to cap stuff in his King Crab.

That would be very bad since objective play requires longer matches and you really want to know how long a match you can expect when logging into a match. So better just give each their own queue.
