Hi,

I found at home a old Mad Catz Puma GT steering wheel old about from 90s that I have used with old driving games.

I used its pedals connected with a GHI G400 Development Board to achieve analog forward and backward movement for the mech.

I like this, but is this permitted? Because the board is viewed by PC as a usb client keyboard, and signals are send every 10 milli seconds. Game things that I press keys with 10 milli seconds of precision Posted Image Does this is permitted or I must stop to be not kicked or banned?

It's only a pedal platform, I'm not a bot. I see thousands of times the mech pedals at the start of each game and tried to make one :)

Thank you for the help. If it's permitted I will public all of this on GitHub Posted Image source code and electronic connections.

Cant really see anything wrong with that method of input .
Other guys are also driving with pedals so you should be pretty good, maybe one of the bigwigs wanna chime in here ...

Didn't we have a hardware/simpit subforum around here somewhere?
Maybe searching the forum archives could provide an answer.

See someone else making script for pedals from a fly controller and others using analog gamepads there(General discussion->Archive->Hardware), so I think that there are not restriction for making this to achive analog input with keyboard. Thank you.

If someone know about some specific rule let me know.

Also if some moderator want to move this post to Archive->Hardware it's ok :)

Update:

I changed from GHI G400 board to BU0836 board, it rocks!

I will build my own controller with it.

http://www.leobodnar...roducts/BU0836/

This board is like a joystick so it is the right way, instead of sending keys every 10 milliseconds.

I will use pedals for forward/backward movements, 12 buttons with blue leds and an analog stick like gamepads for legs rotation.
