I just happened to get a Summoner D. Now, what do I do with it? I mostly brawl, sniping isn't my thing, so the default weapons probably won't do.

PS: Wasn't there a way to see your mech bays in game? Like f.e. 6/7, which would mean 6 used out of the 7 I have available. I'm wondering if the mech came with a mechbay or if it occupies the one I happened to have empty.

EDIT: PPS: Is there a way to change the default clan voices? They are annoying.

Can't change the voices, I think you can turn them off? Not positive.

The mechbays should be listed near the top when you are in mechlab selecting a mech. Most mechs that are injected into your account come with a mechbay.

If you are willing to buy omnipods, 5 ASRM6 is a solid brawling build. You can also swap out the shoulder launcher for an ATM or LRM launcher if you want to be able to reach out and touch people in pug matches.

Ah, in "Select mech" it was, thanks. I knew it was somewhere. (And it came with its own mechbay.)

Since that is my first omnimech, the xp bonus only applies when I have just smd-d pods equipped? It's tiny anyway, so that won't be a reason to not swap pods. 5 ASRM6 sounds nice for sure. That would be LA and RA of a SMN-B, LT also B (for AMS) or M (for backup energy weapon) ... will have to try a bit with smurfy's if everything fits.

Thanks.

EDIT: Something like this could work: SMN-D

That build is too hot, has conflicting ranges, and is generally not very good.

In your skill maze, select both ammo racking modes for this particular build. Fire your weapons in a left side and right side group.

If you want pure damage at the cost of heat efficiency and ease of use, well...

Has a significantly higher alpha and can alpha without ghost heat. In your skill maze, select all 4 ammunition nodes. When playing, close range, be patient, then repeatedly pop from cover and deliver 72 damage into the enemy. This isn't a good build, but its better than your current one, and you might prefer it over the staggered firing required for the previous one.

Also both interesting variants, thank you.

The point of the atm is to have something at range ... not that important, though.
And the HML was to have something when the ammo is empty. Posted Image

You could simply go with an ac/20 and MLs
SMN-D
