Hello,

I downloaded MWO for the first time in about three years, had the "Mech" itch.

I ran the installer via the MWO Portal, downloaded all 17GB or so. Towards the end, after everything downloaded, it flashed an error that an Exception had occurred, but it did not elaborate.

I tried to launch the game, but it told me that MWO.exe could not be found. I looked through the folder and could not find it anywhere.

I ran the Repair tool from the Portal Launcher, and, along with MWO.exe, and a few other .dll files, there were about 150 .PAK files which appear to belong to every mech and map in the game.

The first one i am downloading is Applegate.PAK, its about 0.94GB, I am on fairly slow rural intenet, so thats about 30minutes just to download. And i am going to assume the rest of the .PAK files will be about the same.

Anyone have any advice about what I can do? Running Windows 7 64 bit. I have played MWO on this machine for a long time without issue. I really dont care to download this whole thing again. From what I have read, some time in 2015 there started to be a lot of problems with the Launcher system.

I have diferent experiences with the Reapir Tool but usually i dont have many bugs if any with the game files - i use it to convenient clean the shader cache each update of MWO or the GPU-Driver running it from the MWO-Portal with i have currently no issues with.

The problem could be very well your Internet bcs error correction only works so far and whatever else from faulty Hard Drives to Driver issues and buggy Microsoft Windows Updates and to agressive/restrictive Security Software.

You can allways try the Steam-Version of MWO.
