LRMs are not. Shooting someone with direct fire and stripping all their CT armor so the next time the peek out they die is better suppression than a missile warning I dictator that doesn't hurt them. LRMs are a bad support weapon, because there is no "support" weapons. Just weapons. Good weapons on a mech able to deploy them is the most useful application if tonnage.

Blowing a ST off the instant a guy tries to leave cover is better suppression than hoping he'll fall back into cover due to missile warning after he's shot an alpha or two.


I can't say that I like it, but you are right, pure, precise damage is best in this game.
