Fire From Below
PG-13 (2008 production)

For a trash movie, this one is fairly decent. Several dead bodies, a guy that gets blown to kingdom come when he takes a leak, some suggestive material, a nice cavern, and a couple of well crafted explosions. May not be suitable for small children or adults who bore easily.

When an unstable compound is mined the material reacts with water and begins to burn, sending streamers of flame streaking through the air that home in upon unsuspecting people. When the residents of a town perish, the military steps in. With the help of a scientist they manage to seal off the impending disaster.

Some of the special effects are not all that great, nor are some elements of the plot. Some scenes include fire spewing into the air from a lake and also around a dam, a stream of fire nailing an office lady, a stream of air borne fire chasing after a truck as it races through the tunnels of a mine, and a shed that gets blown to bits when a guy turns on the sink.

Yeah, I watched this for you, so you don't have to. I enjoyed the chips, popcorn, and soda while I endured the movie in support of my fellow gamers and movie buffs.
