Last year was announced in August, and the years before were Sept. 11/15th. I'm hoping any day now myself!

(But it should probably only have 2M RA, 2E LT, 2E LA - so as not to invade Javelin territory)

PGI barely got the Civil War Mechs done in time (see: placeholder animations). They will now be struggling with the Escalation Mechs.
So I can't see them creating any new loyalty Mechs for free.

loyalty mechs are just reskins with new hardpoints and stats.

Yeah I was going to point this out. There isn't much work that has to be done on a Loyalty Mech other than move a few hard points around, give it a fancy camo and possibly add a few quirks. The hardest part would be modeling the hard points so they appear correctly on the mech but since it is only one variant and there is an existing geometry, even this can't be that hard.

Reskins, new hardpoints and stats are all still "work on MWO".
I think their full attention is on getting MW5 ready for pre-sale at MechCon.

Lots of things aren't that hard. It's really a matter of whether the developer wants to put any resource on doing them.

for me it usually goes like this:
i usually buy mech packs in the fall or so, thats when i have money, usually one clan one is.
last year mech con happened and announced all these wonderful things that were coming.
i usually get those packs around the new year and so for awhile im in a good mood.
some months later those come out for cbills and my un-nerfed op p2w bot is less useful.
mech con promises fail to emerge or are a shadow of what they could have been.
i start to grow angry with pgi and declare my wallet closed.
for the next 6 months i spew salt on the forum.
loyalty mechs come out in the fall.
i usually get the first couple tiers. this gets me into the game again and i start to forgive pgi for being pgi.
and this happens in the fall which corresponds to when i get money.
the loyalty mechs are what i use to justify the mech pack purchases, knowing that some time in the future im getting more robbits. if these robbits are bad i might not feel like qualifying for next year's rewards and my wallet stays closed or i would not spend as much as i would have if pgi would have come through for me. if they do some kind of atrocious corner cutting, thats even worse. its in pgi's best interest to put out good loyalty mechs. its our reward for putting up with their crap day in day out for years.

We didn't have pack sales just to have pack sales people.
