And that is my point.

If you are going to say:

Items purchase before 10:00:00 PDT do not count, items purchased 10:00:01 PDT count, then put the Time Stamp on the Purchase, not just a date stamp.

And my point still remains.. HAVE YOU contacted Support? Because you should. And make a case for yourself. Telling us about it here, while useful, doesn't resolve your issue.

Yeah, timestamp cutoffs are critical. Otherwise, 'Well, it was after MY time zone's October 18th started. Stop oppressing my time zone!'

Timestamps are also just as critical to post on the info we have available to us to help us make our decisions regarding any additional purchases we may have to make if we want to support the true motivation behind the reward program. As there are at least two of us who have spoken up on this issue, it is not simply an isolated case and there are probably many more who haven't.

Yes, if it comes to it (and there's still plenty of time available) contacting support will need to be done. But I would like to afford them the opportunity to flip a switch and display timestamps for everyone rather than looking up individual receipts for only the ones who put in tickets. Let us answer our own questions. To do that requires public attention to the problem. GD is probably not a better place than the Announcement thread, but I already have that covered.

Your missing the point. It is about feeling good about your purchases. Right now I don't. I have quite a few posts on these forums telling alot of entitled F2P players to stop whining and spend money on the game to "Support it" with their wallets quite simply because if we don't spend money on the game, there isn't a game. Therefore, when I have seen a mech pack I thought might be interesting, I have said, "What the hell, If I buy this I am supporting the game I enjoy" and dropped my $20 on it. I don't need the mech because I have 160+ of them. I don't need the premium time because I got the better part of a year either qued or banked up. I don't need to buy the hero mech either because I have 44 mechs with that C-bill bonus in my stable. However, the mech pack looks interesting AND I am supporting the game so I spend money. That is loyalty Bish.

However when PGI rewards some Joe Schmo for picking up a couple "Collectors Packs" and tells me that my significantly higher investment into the game is worthless because I didn't buy Collectors Packs, well that kind of cools the desire to buy something just because I am supporting the game. Will I stop all purchasing? Don't know, can't say. Will this BS stop me from going, "What the hell, I am supporting the game after all" and buying a mech pack just because I have the extra cash floating around? Yeah, I think so. If PGI is going to treat my $300 investment as nothing special when they are giving out "Loyalty" rewards, why should I be loyal and give them my money?

Bro, the money you spent was not an "investment" You got the reward for the money you spent. I really dont care whether you are upset because you didn't qualify or whatever but really, money you drop on a video game is GONE the moment you spent it. Its not an investment, which implies future returns.

So I am eligible for the whole lot! Bonus!

Did I buy those collector packs for the eligibility rewards. Hell no. Wasn't even a consideration.

Remember its an incentive

I get that... but I disagree with the need for timestamps. If your receipt says 10-18-2016 or later wherever you are geographically, it should count, period. End of story.

It's the name of an archangel. If you're getting a nosebleed and headache reading that, avoid holy water and circles of salt. Just sayin'.

And I agree...But I live in the same damn city as PGI, so as stated above I would rather look at my purchase date (which I obviously did), and all it says is Oct 18/2016, not Oct 18/2016 07:23:48 or something similar. Put the time on, and then I would not NEED to contact customer/account support. Which by the way I have already done so, and was simply told..."hey It takes up to 6 hours to update", ok, that does not help answer a question.

If I had got an answer, "Sorry, Your Linebacker purchase was made before the cutoff." Then believe it or not I would be fine with it.

But again, it is not a case of Purchases made BEFORE Oct 18/2016, that is the issue here, (especially in my case) but rather Purchases made before Oct 18/2016 10:00:00 PDT, and I have ZERO access to that extra bit of info.

Close, but not exactly:

Seven angels or archangels are given as related to the seven days of the week: Michael (Sunday), Gabriel (Monday), Raphael (Tuesday), Uriel (Wednesday), Selaphiel (Thursday), Raguel or Jegudiel (Friday), and Barachiel (Saturday).

Most of us feel that Collectors Packs are not worth an extra $20 over a standard pack.

The Top Tier loyalty rewards are just a way to get you to spend $40 for a new hero (upgrading 2 packs). If you only buy standard packs, like most sane people, then you're spending your money on economy packs instead of Premium Packs. They are rewarding those who spend excessive money on poorly-valued products.

Face it, they are giving away free Mechs to people who have already overpaid for their collectors packs. That's it. The TopTier loyalty rewards are NOT AIMED at people who just buy stuff; they are aimed only at those who buy "overpriced stuff."

I don't like it, bit that's how it is. No way in hell I am spending an extra $40 for a Victor.

I think my only real beef with this years program is what qualifies for the Top-Tier Rewards. How is a $70 Ultimate pack, bought within the purchase window, not count as Top Tier? As far as I can recall, buying an Ultimate pack of something was an automatic given for its respective Top Tier. This is the first year since the programs inception that I haven't qualified for all the freebies.

Uziel is an angel from an old Jewish story. Sometimes spelled 'Usiel,' or sometimes named something entirely different.

I know last year, a single Ultimate pack did not qualify you for a Top-Tier Reward, as these exact same discussions were had back then. I can't recall the criteria for the 2nd iteration and was absent for the first year's program. I am also far too lazy to bother looking for them at this time of day Posted Image

Hmm...OK, I'll accept that, but I know in my translated copy of the Book Of Enoch, it is listed as Uriel

It's still a pretty obscure angel since one has to belong (or know of) to certain Judaen or Apocryphal Christian sects to know anything about them (or read Paradise Lost), since both the mainline Jewish and Christian theologies only name 2 Angels (Gabriel and Michael) and only 1 (Michael) is called the Arch-Angel (as in supreme angel). It's earliest recorded usage was in the Torah for a grandson of Levi.

Roughly translated, Uziel (Uzziel) is Hebrew meaning "God's Strength", or more literally "God is my Strength".

Now if I could just channel that into the ones I have O_o

Funny thing about Translations... they often have variances, ESPECIALLY in interpreting ancient languages and names.

It ain't like Jesus was actually called Jesus back in the day, but likely a variation or another of Yeshua or even Yehoshua. Uzziel is also sometimes translated with 2 Zs, or an S or as Uriel or Ouza.

Welcome to dead languages, 101.

Apparently it doesn't translate into "God's Hitboxes". Just saying. Part the Red Sea, walk on Water? No problem. Make the Uziel good? Now THAT would take a miracle.

No, very true about translations and what not.

He was also a Character in Steven Brust's Novel: To Reign in Hell. An excellent little book looking at the revolt in Heaven from a different point of View:

https://en.wikipedia...o_Reign_in_Hell

Also, an Update on my Linebacker issue:

Quote

Thanks for the follow up. After a closer look the issue is that the Linebacker Pack was purchased on October 18th but some hours before the deadline has started.
We will adjust that for you as a one time deal and your eligibility for this reward should update by tomorrow.
Regards,

I did reply a thanx, and a request that maybe they could include Time Stamps on our purchase records to offset any future issues.
