that's going to be the staple XL build if you insist on using an XL engine. Otherwise it has to be MRMs and keep it at medium ranges. I highly doubt it has any real ability to brawl.

a lot will depend on the agility, so I won't totally write it off, but if I want missile spam brawl... and fast..I got my Assassin. I'm cool with mechs actually not all being ideal for the same "box"

Humdidum =)

Honestly this mech looks like nightmare combination of variety of IS designs =)

In secret IS mech lab in the early morning hours: "Ok Engineers here is what we shall do. First we are going or cut out archers left torso then we are going slap it into Dragons center torso. Are you guys getting it... its going to be a HELLSPAWN so lets make it looks like one. So lads thats the main theme so ill go and get a nap and you design the rest."

This mech does indeed look like mismash of IS mech parts and I kinda like it =)

I've always liked it's odd, but semi industrial aesthetic. I'm really hoping the Chimera pops up, too, in all it's lopsided glory.

Making the hit box part of the arm is way better than the torso, consider that most are going to want to run an IS XL in it. You don't want it to suffer from Timbershoulder.

The misslepoints on the hero Phoenix hawk is similar to this and I haven't seen anyone complain about it.

Would be useful as a larger shield for the ST too. Survival > weapons on arm in most cases

Think of the "Arm blown off hitbox" and the 40% damage transfer (60% damage removed) mechanic when transferring damage from arm to ST. Remember the giant "destroyed" arm hitboxes of the Centurion before the fix made it fragile as can be? Could end up being to this mech's benefit. Provided they don't "fix" it later.

Yeah, I'm thinking it's much better to lose that arm and keep the ST. Going to have to check whether an 'armless' Hellspawn will still have enough firepower to fight, though.

Oddly enough, it's based on updating the Dervish.

You can waste your breath all you want here. Doesn't change the fact PGI follows such a pattern. The EBJ hero's ballistic LT, for latest example.

To be fair, this happened to an otherwise symmetrical 'mech

So with the Hellspawn being somewhat asymmetrical in design, it's not unreasonable to be unsure which weapon geo goes where.

Hence my point, I just learned long ago to never waste breath arguing with Bandito. He is all knowing, having you got the memo?

Hellspawn is asymmetrical in torso only, but arms are the same. For example, Orion-IIC has asym torsi, but the energy placements on the arms are the same. More importantly, on Twitter Russ had asked the modelers about the Hellspawn arm missile placement and they told him the arms will mirror each other. So unless they change their mind later on, my guess was correct.

1. Except Russ has already confirmed that the arms will be mirrored. Dunno why I even need to reply to you since you saw the tweet as well.

2. Panther is an oddity in the first place. There are official arts with side mounted energy weapon on the RA, which will make the LA mount mirrored. It is but one example though.

Yes, Russ confirmed in response to ME, that would be the case, hence the genesis of this OP.

HUH.

Funny how that works...

And after that, Chris actually said that it might not be, but hey... let's let Bandito keep pulling crap out of his butt to try to make himself seem right....

Which doesn't make a lick of difference cause I saw the tweet after I said the arms will be mirrored. But, yes, lets have your salty arse try to stay on my **** at any chance you can get. Pitiful.

Oh the irony.

Lol. Ah well, your arrogance is legendary, so it's to be expected.

You tried to correct me, and have failed, at every point, yet as always have to dig in deeper. Ang move any goal post necessary to do so. Run along.

Hahaha, why should I be concerned when my point was already validated? Besides, I am not the one who has trouble running along. Posted Image GL mate, you are gonna need it far more than me.

Uh huh. Aside from your complete inability to let go...of a point that was made before you ever "contributed".

I took one look at the model and I thought "deathtrap."
