Are you secretly not battletech fans, but just saying you are to hide the fact that you plan to exploit mechwarrior fanbois, and just happen to know HOW MUCH battletech fans love big giant robots because you SECRETLY have a mind reading device like in the movie with Val Kilmar as Batman and Jim Carrey as the Riddler, and new that people with giant erections for giant robots would probably take a loan out against their mortgage, and dip into their child's college fund JUST to get their hands on ALL this game has to offer!?

If your answer is yes-- I say touche to your marketing genius and will promptly buy a Legendary founders pack.

If your answer is no-- I will remove my tinfoil hat, and promptly buy an Elite founders pack.

:)

Too much sun CAN be a bad thing kids... Just sayin... Now I'm off to do something productive other than making pointless forum posts due to a severe procrastination character flaw.

It was a wise financial move on their part. Mechs have been an ill served market for ten years. The young people who played mechwarrior then are now presumably financially viable and its a perfect time to release a game we loved then in a getter form now.

As you currently have an Elite founders pack, I must assume that the Devs have contacted you secretly and answered 'No' to your question :)

I have each UrbanMech (UM-R63 and IIC) CCG card on my desk, a pile of the CCG cards, and two UrbanMech TT figures on a marble slab etched with a certain-forum goers re-done Urbanmech.

So no, we don't know anything about Battletech, nor MechWarrior.

Hurray! Someone else who played the CCG.

Loved the little quotes they put on the bottom of the cards.

So to borrow the guards from Monty Python's the Holy Grail who are being told to make sure the singing prince does not leave the room.....

King of Swamp Castle(Garth Erlam): Look, it's quite simple. I have always been a Mechwarrior fan, I have two Urbie models on my desk for gosh sakes! All right?
Guard #2 (Drunk MWO Poster): [hiccups]
Guard #1(MWO Poster): Oh, I remember, uh, so you're not a Mechwarrior fan?
King of Swamp Castle(Garth Erlam): No, no, no, no, I have two Mechwarrior scale models, I breath, eat, and sleep Mechwarrior.....
Guard #1(MWO Poster): Oh yeah, well I've got it your not a fan, obviously, but if you were a fan... would you put one of the unseen mechs in the game like the Locust mech ....I mean I love the Locust mech.
King of Swamp Castle(Garth Erlam): Look I am a fan of Mechwarrior! Got it!
Guard #1(MWO Poster): Oh, yes, of course.
[Points at Guard #2]
Guard #1(MWO Poster): I thought you were saying he was a fan. You know, it seemed a bit daft that you were asking if he was a fan as he posts on this website and all....

If they could read minds would they have ever said:

1. "First come first served on canon unit names"
2. "There will be changes to the unit naming"
3. "No canon unit names, period"
4. "Paul is not a troll"
