1) Piranha
Has been announced! See official variant details
here
2) Fire Falcon
Variant details see
here
A 25t Clan Omnimech that sports Endo-Steel, Ferro-Fibrous Armor and a decent XL engine. With the recent resurrection of the Mist Lynx it's finally useable mech, but still a bit on the slow side for a 25t mech. The Fire Falcon on the other hand runs as quick as a cheetah. It lacks the jump jets or ECM, but has high weapon mounts and generally good omnipods. Recommended variants Prime, A, C, D & H.
3) Locust IIC
Variant details see
here
Unlike the Inner Sphere variant this one weights 25t. There already exist 5 destinct variants. Unfortunatelly it lacks jump jets and ECM, but speed and number of hardpoints should make up for that.
4) Vixen (Incubus)
Has been announced! See official variant details
here
5) Peregrine (Horned Owl)
Variant details see
here
A 35t humanoid Clan Battlemech with jump jets and (probably) good speed. This thing could be a beast. Especially variant 2 looks incredibly powerfull. There already exist 5 destinct variants with varying usabilty, but with some hardpoint inflation on the weaker variants it's going to be awesome. PGI might opt for smaller than usual (orignal*1.4) max engine ratings to keep it in line.
6) Wasp
Variant details see
here
A 20t humanoid Inner Sphere Battlemech with jump jets. It won against the
Flea and
Stinger because it's the most common Mech in BT lore and offers plenty variants to choose from. The Flea would be great but rather similar to the Locust, and the Stinger is similar to the Wasp but with fewer variants to choose from and no variant with ECM and JJ.
I'd suggest the following variants:
WSP-3M: The variants that comes closest to it's iconic pictures (right sided energy, missile mix with no hand actuator)
WSP-1K: The only variant with ballistics
WSP-1W: Lazor vomit
WSP-3L: ECM with energy and missile hardpoints
WSP-3S: ECM with energy only hardpoints
7) Raptor
Variant details see
here
I'd love to see Inner Sphere omnimechs in this game, and the Raptor has almost everything we need from an omnimech. The way omnimechs work there can't be an Inner Sphere omnimech with Ferro and Endo, so it will have to do with Standard Armor. But apart from that it has an OKish XL engine, Endo-Steel, Double Heat Sinks and optional Jump Jets. Recommended variants would be Prime, A, C, D, F (or R instead of A). Up to 11 Energy hardpoints or 9 with JJ.
The only other omnimechs would be the Arctic Fox which is just an Inner Sphere version of the Kit Fox, and the
Owens which combines the hitboxes of a Jenner with fixed Single Heat Sinks, fixed Tag, fixed BAP, fixed C3 Computer, along with standard armor and structure and average omnipods, so a truly aweful mech.
8) Nexus
Variant details see
here
Another 25t Inner Sphere Battlemech. It improves on the Commando by having jump jets and a decent amount of energy hardpoints. There's one ECM variant, but that one lacks Jump Jets unfortunatelly. There exist only 4 variants, but PGI is used to having to invent variants on their own these days anyways. It lacks variation, but the concept of the mech is just good, and PGI can add one variant to add something different to the chassis. Hitboxes should be good as well.
9) Hermes
Variant details see
here
Humanoid 30t Inner Sphere battlemech that would be the fastest mech in game. Unlike all the other 30t IS mechs already in the game, this one would lack jump jets. Suggested variants:
HER-1S: Quick 30t lazor vomit mech
HER-1Sb: Lazor vomit with MASC. 270/30*16.2*1.075*1.1=172.4kph while MASC is active. That would be the fastest mech MWO ever had, but before speed tweak was reduced to 7.5% the Commando could run 171kph so I am hoping MWO can handle it.
HER-3S2, 4K, 4M: All lazor vomit with MASC and ECM with different energy hardpoint locations.
Alternatives would be the
Firefly which could serve as IS alternative for the Cheetah, but even though there are 9 variants, they are all variations (and often weaker ones) to the 3SLE, but that one is really awesome.
Another alternative would be the
Hammer which combines energy with missile hardpoints. The
Anubis would also be a good mech
10) Hollander
Variant details see
here
About as silly as the Urban Mech (maybe even worse), but much better looking. I didn't pick it for raw power, but because it's iconic and would actually add something new, even it's a new level trolling. The other interesting thing about this mech is that it will be the first mech that comes as two different weight classes, along with some minor remodelling for each (hopefully). 2 variants come at 35t, while another 2 come at 45t. This alone is worth adding the mech.
11) Hellion
Variant details see
here
30t Clan Omnimech that comes at the same speed as the Mist Lynx, so a bit too slow. Makes up for that by having decent hardpoints. Requires a Jihad variant (E) to reach it's full potential, since that variant gives the mech access to JJ and ECM. To make it feasible the Anti-Personal Gauss in that variant needs to be replaced by a Heavy Machine Gun which has the same slot/weight profile.
12) Dasher (Fire Moth)
Variant details see
here
20t Clan Omnimech that comes at 'Ludicrous Speed' (See Spaceballs for more info about LS). It probably won't ever happen, but since it's rather importantish for Battletech once Clan Invasion hits that game's timeline, it might still happen.
